Reports have emerged that the 2010 British Motor Show has been canceled due to poor attendance and a struggling economy. The decision was made during a meeting of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, which has been the organizer of the motor show for the past century.
At one point, the motor show attracted up to 900,000 visitors, but recently held shows featured only half of that figure. Looking at the downward trend, there is a good possibility that the entire show might be canceled all together. Even the recently held motor show in Detroit saw reduced participation from auto manufacturers while the Tokyo Motor Show also has a rather bleak future. Down south, the 2009 Sydney Motor Show has also been canceled.

that's not good …
No great pics to come. Oh well at least we have other car shows.
Not what i'd get fussy about.
Signs of the times. Malaysia should also emulate it. Shows like the LIMA in Langkawi has long been a failure, and yet the govt is still flogging it to the world. The Singapore and Hongkong shows have overshadowed LIMA and many of the big boys are giving Langkawi a pass.
