I don’t see it will be archieve but if can get a balance on this criteria i can say for domestic market will be very sucessfull. however, it is easier to stick to commonly used EuroNCAP since the integrity is there & everybody seems to be fond of EuroNCAP.
if the standard of EuroNCAP = MyNCAP, what is the purpose of setting up such entity?

all countries adapt systems from others and call it something to identify it with their own country.. like auscap for australia..etc. it doesnt matter what we call it, as long as we have it, and based on the best practices from other countries.

euroncap isnt the best also. the exora was tested for rollover, which euroncap doesnt test.

but end of the day, its not up to proton, a car company to push for standards. for one thing, its already proven that they test cars according to world standards, but to enforce it in malaysia will require the govt to step in.. jpj for a start, needs a total overhaul. its old fashioned, and has been left behind with the times.

Good choice … I made some study as well… Exora got aircond grill until last row… Others like Livina only provide floor blower/ AC grill to cool down your pants.. kesian 3rd row, got to use kipas tangan.

I notice for additional 6k u got a lot of upgrade… such as leather seat, GPS, DVD, tint etc…

Please do not bash BMW!!!! this case. Even you get 10 star such condition will have you meet the god of death. (stil got survival they will give the details later on) Obviously the people in BMW is not fastening a safety belt and travel more that 160km/h. But even though any vehicle crash at a stalled car it is the worse crash. you can see even at 40km/h the crash test can deliver such an impact imagine 160km/h.

Four killed in crash on NSE, drugs found nearby

IPOH: Four people were killed when a BMW crashed into a Proton Waja at the 379th kilometre of the North-South Expressway near Slim River.

Also found at the accident scene were two packets of heroin believed to have been hastily thrown out from one of the vehicles involved in the accident.

The BMW is believed to have slammed into the momentarily stalled Waja in the 8.45pm incident on Friday, said Slim River OCPD Supt Mohd Ali Nayan.

The four people in the BMW who died have yet to be identified, he added.

Supt Mohd Ali said another four victims, three from the Waja and one from the BMW, were seriously injured and have been warded at the Slim River Hospital.

The Waja driver had tried to overtake another vehicle in front but grazed it and crashed into the middle divider, spun around and stopped in the middle of the road.

The BMW crashed into the Waja from behind, said Supt Mohd Ali.

Meanwhile, state CPO Deputy Comm Datuk Zulkifli Abdullah confirmed that 616gm of heroin in two packets were found near the crash scene.

He said police were investigating the matter under Section 39 (B) of the Dangerous Drugs Act.

the safety results does means something, that is Proton is improving in terms of long term planning. When they(proton) develop the prototype for the sake of crash testing.. it shows they design with safety in mind. And that’s means in the end, the following new model will mostly likely follow the sames steps with improve efficiency in car safety design, thus reduce the cost like 10 digit figures.

my question is if proton is going to the next level in terms of safety, what happen to current model like Saga, Arena, Waja, Persona and Savvy? will they be replace anytime sooner with higher safety features?
