Proton Menawan Dunia Song and Lyrics

ProtonSome of you have enquired on the song at the end of the Proton Exora launch video posted up yesterday.

The song is “Menawan Dunia” by Aubrey Suwito, lyrics by Tinta S and performed by Badri Ibrahim. Look after the jump to listen to the song, and you will also find the lyrics.

Menawan Dunia

Tidak gentar
Tidak pernah jiwaku terketar
Apa jua yang merintang
Ku pasti jua bertahan (pastinya Proton bertahan)
Dan teguh ke depan
Mengibarkan sayap impian bergemerlapan
Meluncur pergi ke hala persada nan tinggi

Chorus
Kini ku menawan dunia
Telah ku gagahi pawana
Menung dan khayalku bukan lagi sekadar fantasi

Kini ku dipandang dunia
Telahku langkahi hampa dan lara
Dan ternyata kan ku
Menjangkau sejauh jua

Bridge

Yang mustahil mampu diubah
Yang samar pasti tersuar cahayanya
Biar lesu kaki melangkah
Jangan sekali mengalah

Adlib & backup vocals

Nyata kini Proton (menawan dunia)
Terbuktilah Proton (dipandang dunia)
Pasti sudah Proton (menawan dunia)
Nyata kini Proton (dipandang dunia)

Just test drive the Proton Exora with my father… Disappointment… Underpower… Press a bit fuel like around 1500rpm totally no respond… Need to press at least 2000-3000rpm only a bit respond.. Somemore claim 1L of petrol can run 13km… I doubt it…

At that time only 3 person on board of the MPV, and the Sales Advisor told me no underpower, coz of CPS and still can move… Yup, i can also say wonders! And i shoot him back how heavy is this car? I tell him is around 1400kg right? How heavy is Wish or Innova and what engine their using? He quickly say is different category…

The real thing that the power : weight ratio is not really good… Even 3 person on board seems like doing a hard job for the 1.6L CPS engine… I think it should have at least 1.8L or 2.0L N/A engine or a 1.6L turbo engine… The big size and weight is killing the MPV..

A lot of people are amaze of the design but after test drive it a lot of ppl felt underpower… Not only me and my father, but previews test drive person also said like that to my father…

When we complain that the car underpower, the SA quick quick told us Manual version is coming out ask us to wait.. LOL!

Ha ha ha … ur father seems takut2 nak tekan minyak coz its not his car oredi . Kalau xsiden kne ganti . So .. tekan minyak pelan2 la . Or… he forgot to release the handbrake ?

Kalau kereta sendiri , tekan minyak kasi habis pun masih kata underpower , then tukar enjin MIVEC . Kalau duit banyak , dont buy EXORA n then tukar enjin … buang masa , buang duit . Set ur mind , go for Eastar .. Wish .. or etc that u feel better than proton .

Then … if anything happened to ur car … u must remember thats ur choise n thats better than the SLUGGISH PROTON . Remember … other car also have their own problem .. kadang2 lagi teruk dpd proton . Even Merce E240 pun ada kes lampu masuk air !

For me … proton is ok for anybody that got salary $2500/month with 3 – 5 famili mmbers . Better than avanza or livina .

I'm not a blind supporter but i was appreciate what our local company done .

    WELL DONE PROTON !

    Let's sing a song together…. :)

    Littlefire,

I've tested with 6 adults including me and the salesman onboard yesterday.. bear in mind that our weight is 53-69kg per-person (i don't know what that salesman weight). yes, i do agree with theking, the engine was adequate for Exora… @1000rpm, the pickup quite sluggish. Improve a bit @1500rpm.. beyond that, it's fine with 6 ppls onboard!! :)

I'm doing the speed testing also. @3000rpm, it's running around 105km/h but not exactly… be able to push 140km/h after asking for permission from salesperson.. don't' know what the RPM @140km/h since i'm concentrating on the road. Thinking of increasing my speed but, i'm not gonna risk 5 other ppls onboard.. It's to risky since this was an MPV, not a sport hatchback…

Handling, very stable at high speed and very responsive at low speed. Minimal body roll.. very good sound insulation/proofing (at 120km/h i can hear my frens talking with each other clearly at the 3rd row)… Interior finishing is up to my expectation.. i'm 5f 8" tall and i felt it comfortable to sat at the 3rd row.. Not be able to check the GPS due to it's not in the place (SA removed it).. we test drove it on the hot day afternoon, no one complain about the heat since they have their own rear a/c blowers on each row.. Front room light is similar with my Waja's room light hehe.. overall.. i'm very satisfied with the performance of Exora.. it's really good for ferrying peoples..

again, let's sing this song together.. long live Proton, long live TJCC and long live DSZA!! ;)

& yes when they bought it they said its a family car who wants to speed rite ?

just use it to work & happily cruising on the weekend yada yada yada

somebody test drive it for 140kmh?

Yes, proton already perform market research and full RnD as comparison. Please understand that Wish and Innnova was luxury MPV, not at Exora segment. Please compare apple with apple not with durian. Anyhow, Proton is on move for developing more bigger and powerful engines, but not in the leap of time, taking some times to develop.

    Littlefire just only to provoke..

otherwise, instead of not so constructive comment, he and his father still like exora respectively, but still repeat about power vs weight. Huh, want to be backyard engineer?

    what we need for Exora?

    Space… Comfort… Practical…

    so what is the bonus?

    Power… Stylish…

Exora already perfect for the needed. If not so much power is not an issue. It's still can carry seven people with easy, although not fast as Alphard.

I don't thinks it's funny when we just test drive it just for a moment.. at least we can assure that underpower issues is exist or not.. It's same when i'm buying a Waja 6 years ago.. test drive for a moment, put a deposit and wait for delivery… On that time, i'm not gonna "puji-puji tinggi melangit" that car and i don't know how the reliability Waja on that time.. but hey.. it's really a reliable car.. not 100%.. but the reliability is up to my expectation.. don't tell me that Toyota let's u test drive new model up for 1 month just to tell peoples that how reliable cars they are eventhough their new model are not 100% proven reliable yet…

My Waja serve me almost 7 years, and yet still not facing "patah sana, pecah sini, air masuk, minyak kuat gearbox kong, or need to enter the vehicle from the passenger door".. just common wear and tear parts that need to be changed and my Waja loan will settle on this November… How u know Exora will suffer at the foot of even 40 years old with 5 kids just referring on Malaysians driving habits? since u said it's not proven yet and we can't assume anything just on "a moment test drive".. can i say new perodua mpv and new Wish will suffer too?

what the connection between Proton quality issues and a rude driver behavior? ;)

Yes, i've test drove Exora up to 140km/h.. that why i tell peoples that this act was done after asking a permission from salesperson.. no need to drive in Sepang F1 track.. just need a long straight highway and must be sure that the road are clear from traffic loads.. Not all time i'm driving that "test drive session" with that speed buddy… just start from 100km/h to 140km/h and done..

p/s: My review base on my personal test drive.. if i'm puji2 melangit.. i will say that 1.6 is "very powerful" rather than just "adequate" for Exora with 6 persons onboard…

One important fact that i noticed on the Toyota Sette is that it DOES NOT COME WITH A SPARE TYRE. It only comes with a puncture repair kit. IF you had a puncture on your SIDEWALL somewhere on the Gua Musang road, you are in deep s**t! I pray the P2 MPV have a modified rear floor to accomodate the SPARE TYRE, even the space saver type.

Paul, can you find out and confirm this?

Perodua can put a spare tyre on the roof top or underneath body or attach at the rear bonnet just like SUV… :)

    [/quote]

I suggest you and your father…

go to nissan showrom. test drive Livina 1.6

go to Perodua, test Avanza 1.5

go back to proton showroom. test drive Exora.. again…

I know my Rusa pickup is better than Livina…

    I can go 140kph too…

That is truly M'sian… comes with complain, complain and complain as always… Proton want to fulfill M'sian needed… with 1.6 CamPro CPS engine, why don't Proton just produce a small cramp mpv about the same size and weight as GL and azanva right? so, the "UNDERPOWER" issues wont be arising..

BUT… M'sian will said, comment and bashing as always.. "kenapa buat mpv kecik, jual mahal, alang-alang, buatlah mpv besar sikit, bukannya rugi pun. Lagipun keluarga org M'sia besar, bukannya semua org nak bawak laju".. I am very sure this is the words that will come from the mouth that truly M'sians.. similar case with savvy before..

And i am very sure that Proton realize this and try to take a challenge by producing a biggest MPV in it's class… an MPV for M'sian, that one step ahead from it's rival… but, it's still not making M'sian proud but still complains.. "dah tahu enjin kecik kenapa buat mpv besar, mesti underpower punyalah, mesti kuat minyak.. entah2, larat ke tidak naik bukit" ..and that still not to mention about past quality issues…

Buat MPV kecik pun gerenti salah, dan buat mpv besar pun salah.. semuanya salah.. siapa yg nak sentiasa betul? basher-basher lah yg sentiasa nak jadi betul… ;)

Yang test u bapak dia, littlefire duduk kat sebelah aje. Jadi pakcik tu takut2 le sikit. maklum le kereta baru, Test drive car plak tu. Kalau kereta sendiri rasanya mau tekan tak ingat. Aku dah order kaler Silver. nak sesuaikan ngan Rim baru nanti. Sweet…. Tak sabar nak tengok muka wife aku sebab dia pun suka exora nie… :)

This Exora meet my expectation… Lagi satu, DUIT AKU, PUNYA SUKA LE AKU NAK PAKAI APA PUN. BUKAN PAKAI DUIT HANG PUN. WALAU AKU MAMPU PAKAI APLHARD. :)

I'm sorry but I find a lot of comments here defending proton with ignorence. How many of those claiming that the Exora has sufficient grunt, driven anything with actual power? Many locally made cars have pethetic performance. The main problem with the engine in the Exora is the torque it produces. Torque is essential in heavy vehicles because it determines how much 'pulling' power it has. The more pulling power, the 'lighter' the vehicle will feel while driving. I would just like to see how this car fairs on a twisty moutain road.

Those arguing that the imports are a different market are absolutely correct. 2 reasons for this. The price difference it just too much and anything that proton makes is not even competitive in the global market. The heavy import duty tax has basically garanteed Proton's complecent survival in the local market. Imagine a competing MPV (eg Toyota wish) was priced in the same cost segment as the exora. Ask yourselves truthfully all you proton devotees, which will you buy?

Though this is a major achievement for proton, it has still a long way to go. Proton neads to be internationally competitive. The more the goverment tries to protect it, the more disgusted I feel because it just send the message that Proton is not up to it. Abolish the import duty and any other rediculous import tax policies gradually through a 10 – 15 year plan. Force Proton to either be competitive or fade into the shadows. Either will be beneficial to Malaysia and the auto industry.

Mamat aussie dtg2 sini terus je cakap pasal tax.. kenapa? negara dia xder impose tax ker? betul ke mamat ni aussie?

Hello Mr. quak58 @ Aussie, try to test drive before giving any comment regarding Exora.. we know that the most important thing for MPV was TORQUE, not HP and we have discussing about this issue all this time.. tq

Initial R, ko perasan tak yg seat 2nd row utk H-line tu ada armrest kat tgh tu, itupun kalo tak silap mata aku tgk org lain tgh kerumun dan ada mamat yg bukak armrest tu…. byk dah aku baca reviews kat internet ni.. motortrader, paultan.org dan lain2 lagi, mereka langsung tidak perasan ttg kehadiran armrest ni.. ataupun mmg armrest 2nd row tu mmg tak wujud??

I don't want to comment much on the Exora, because even though I though the car would be Underpowered, the vehicle turned out to be the opposite! Proton is on the losing side because of only one thing – our locals are too face-lifted. They say Germans or Japanese are their Godly Carmakers and whatever made in Malaysia is not up to standard. In that case, why not just be a Japanese/German Citizen? Easier, no need to talk bad about "local cars" anymore.

We think it's that easy to criticise, but do we know how much Germans have criticised their own cars before they learnt to accept it? Think about it… Japanese, no need to say. Anything Japanese=Good. Non/Anti-Japanese=No Good. (even the luxurious Mercedes is no good to them!)
