plus, to compete with CLS? this is not a sedan-coupe.. it’s a multi-purpose sedan..

couldn’t agree more with you, well said dude. still a large of Malaysian population.. perhaps world population couldn’t adapt drastic design language revolution. see like what Bangle did, everyone was hellbent cursing him for ruining BMW tradition but we just love the design, i believe any carmaker couldn’t survive with their styling & body-line tradition etc Rolls Royce & Jaguar. This is such a lovely car, it’s just that people don’t really understand the purpose of this 5-GT.

i’ve driven F01 and it’s a driver car. not like latest S-class. that’s why they called it at first “PAS” (Progressive Activity Sedan). read here:

“BMW says the PAS, which stands for “progressive activity sedan,” is designed to slot between the 5-series and X6, creating a new segment of sedan with the functionality of a multipurpose vehicle.”

I know why. Because if you buy a 7 series, you are more likely to spend your time at the back, rather than the front. So BMW just disguised this into a 5series GT so that those at the back would also like to go to the front as well when the driver is on MC. correct me if I’m wrong but this Line-6 petrol suppose to be a single turbo engine. I can’t see 2 turbos in it. I know it is advertised as “TWINPOWER” turbo but it appears like a twin-scroll turbo system. This is the same system as the Mitsubishi EVO engines.

Hey you are right. This appears to be BMW’s first modern single-turbo inline-6 gasoline engine. I have heard some people on the net say it is the new N55 family… an N55B30 but not sure, just hearsay.
