Talking about wagons, I remember driving a 1.9-litre turbodiesel Vectra estate from Liverpool to Aberdeen – the amount of torque it produced was amazing, considering the engine displacement and the size of the car (about as big as a Legacy wagon but slightly longer). It went like stink though the torque dip around 3500 rpm was less than desirable (maybe an additional, slightly bigger turbocharger could do the trick). The long wheelbase meant that doing 130 mph (~200km/h) on the motorway required minimal steering input (it felt VERY stable). And the cruise control made the 6-hour journey feel like a walk in the park.

i dont think that Wish n Stream are wagon, it should call MPV. Wagon should have sedan version while Wish n Stream dont have sedan version. i do have ford lynx S wagon and it is nice n reliable car to drive, sometimes its better than others sedan.

Toyota Wish & Honda Stream r wagon anyway, and i see many of these models on d road in malaysia.

if proton were to produce proton saga estate or persona estate , it will be a good one considering that the old nissan ad-resort or the kia rio estate can be seen almost everywhere.

don’t think the foreign car companies will be interested in this project. Yeah, i remember the pasar malam and market guys using the old datsun 120Y wagons and also corolla and mazda 808 wagons.

sadly, it is that usage that has led to the wagon being perceived as nothing more than a pasar malam car. today for the night hawkers, or market ppl, there’s the c22 and the perodua and daihatsu vans which have taken over the wagon’s position. hopefully this will change the perception of the wagon here into one that is passenger rather than goods oriented. i think for the perception to really change, the market must wait for those who remember the old use of those wagons to move on to the afterlife first and the next generation who have no memory of that at all to take over.
