Taking Danica will work. Aside from her face being on godaddy.com, people can say F1 is not a men’s only sport. She will attract sponsors as well. But I am not too suere she is the right candiddate. She may be fast, but 27 is mid-age in F1 so time is not really on her side. Also don’t forget the last time a US racer came into F1. He took out his own team mate, and tried to overtake at weird places before finally going back to US.

If the story of F1 are run according to the trend as it is now, It meant to be another platform for cash rich companies from US and developing country in future. Where anyone with big pocket can form a team and join for the fun.

There you have it, American can start claim that the Formula is their ‘world class’ motorsports.

if she does come up top five, i’ll be mighty impressed. red hot looks and red hot driving skills. wonder what else she is red hot good at…… lol.

shes really talented…one of the top driver in IRL…she jz finished 3rd in indianapolis 500 race behind helio castroneves where he claimed his 5th victory in that place…now..patrick is 5th in drivers standing…those who follow IRL series will know that she is very talented…

There’s an article in US reporting that after Danica’s shot to stardom in motor sports, she spends too much time in product endorsements.

GoDaddy cheekily manipulated that and came out with an ad where a policeman stop her and said, “Hey, you’re that GoDaddy girl”

Danica IS a talented driver and is usually in the top 5 or top 10 in CART or whatever the series in US. However F1 or FOTA will be a different ball game. No CART champion have been successful in F1, save for Montoya who had limited success. Seb Bordouis was a successful CART champ but is struggling in F1 at the back of the field. It is quite obvious that getting Danica to drive for USGPE will generate a lot of publicity and coverage for the team, which is what thier sponsors would want.

While they will be joining F1 with the budget cap, most of the top teams are breaking away to form FOTA, bring with them the main sponsors and viewers, which is the main objective of the sports – advertsing, branding and marketing besides all the hi tech stuff behind the car.

Haiyo do we need a PMS suffering, mediocre looking driver on track? Girls r for carrying the umbrellas and strutting down de pitlane in heels (only??). Seriously, from a racing pov, she’s gonna get whopped. Like Michelle Wie who really doesnt cut it wit de big guns in golf. Good for laughs anyway.

Since the current F1 will loose most of their sponsors and fans to FOTA this actually a good strategy to attract them back…. sex sells…

I have nothing against Danica apart from being “hot” as she is, she’s also a talented driver… I am sure other drivers will take their time tailing her from behind… hehehe
