Schumacher on the new Ferrari 458 Italia

No, this isn’t a video about Schumi trashing the new Ferrari through the bends but more of Schumacher waxing lyrical (er, sort of) about the new Ferrari 458 Italia in this third video in a series which features Ferrari and related (Pininfarina?) executives giving their scripted opinions about the new car. Nothing being said is particularly interesting but watch it just for the sights and sounds of the 458 Italia on the track.

The design is… odd… wonder what are their theme and direction. 3 exhaust pipes? That is odd either. All these are getting bored. Guess they are still in their dream building a super car that they like.

This is Ferrari, car for the rich.

somehow, this car looks more Lotus-like to me than a Ferrari.

To me, I just can’t see any Ferrari cues in this design.

But dynamically, this car will edge closer to the Gallardo, Porsche 911 Turbo and of course, the synthetic GT-R.
