This is undoubtly a car that need to and will be given appropriate attention and possibly could be a running success for Peugeot. At least this sentiment are shared by quite a lot of people aroung the world.
Initial review by several European car magazine unanimously give it positive vibes overall, rare for a Peugeot since perhaps the 205gti back in the mid 80s.

Nevertheless, in our nation context, there are a few things that could make owning this exclusive babe too high a risk or a potential nightmare. A frustrating experience. Love the car but... kinda feeling.

One glaring area is Nasim Peugeot after sales service.. for it have been the subject of wide and severe critics by new Peugeot owners (and old alike) as been vastly inadequate, incompetent and poor. And promises are meant to be broken as well. At least that were the stories from disgruntled owners point of view.

Usually, new owners will go on showboating about how great their purchase is to the whole world, how they get the best bang for the buck and everything, when in reality, its a little bit more of the usual.

Thus, to have enough critical mass of disgruntled new owners instead, reveal a deeper issue. One which is potentially costly and damaging for future ahead, financially and reputationally. Hopefully the real situation is not critical.

Given the (expected) highly technicality, complexity and exclusivity of the RCZ, current dismal after sales service quality might be worsened (for the RCZ) coz some unique parts might be even more scarce (aren't readily available) and staff are incompetence in dealing with the car ups and downs.

Until... they are willing to face the reality and change their mindset of its enough just to sell, sell, sell (which is the strong area of Naza group), moved out of their comfort zone and balance it out by giving tremendous focus and concentration on after sales aspect.. in record breaking time and huge amount of efforts. And never look back again.
As an example, a 3 years plan that aim to be in top 3 position of JD power survey (in customer satisfaction) is useful to kickstart the transformation.

+ Someone need to have power over internal bickering / politiking too.
That someone must exercise his power mercilessly (if required? of course it is!) to transform, streamline and make the organisation work the way it should. This is a challenge to any family-control business, more so to one that is in transition as Naza group.
For the time being, it is absolutely okay to be Machiavellian. Read the Prince (Il Principe). Realistically, it could be quite useful.

simple calculation, it will be

1) 23k + 0 = RM230K. or
2) 23Kx6=138Kx2=RM276K

I am sure either one of it will be within the 10% range.

A very good advise for Peugeot...
Try to design a 'proper' car
not just imitate.
Ya.. the car designer were the same person.
As cars enthusiast, we are not blind..
It's just too similar..
not enough creative thinkers in Peugeot Design Dept?

barca said,
September 14, 2009 @ 10:12 am

level 1 trim is good enough and manual, of course!

why? malaysian owners probably won’t bother experimenting with the equipment and just concentrate on driving and looking good in one.

----

in simpler words....as long as the car is a head turner then it's ok. hehehe
