Let everyone look at how many Malaysians there are in A1 Team Malaysia <a href="http://www.a1teammalaysia.com.my/a1/compiled/p123.htm" rel="nofollow">http://www.a1teammalaysia.com.my/a1/compiled/p123...</a> They are trying their best to fully Malaysianize the team and thats the best they have done up til now. Including their 2 drivers they have managed just over 50% Malaysians within the team. Malaysia lacks experienced and skilled personnel for racing at that level. Thats why I find it amusing when the media report 200 members with full malaysian pit crew etc etc.. The best Malaysian crew for single seaters are all in A1 Team Malaysia with only 2-3 others in other outfits in the country. A bit of correction on A1GP. The current A1GP car is NOT built by Ferrari. It was designed wholly by A1GP with consultation with Ferrari. However the V8 engine is fully Ferrari. In fact the car was actually assembled by A1 Team Malaysia mechanics THEMSELVES in August last year in the UK. As for QI Meritus, it's certainly good to know that they have been around for so many years competing in the region. Though they have Malaysian(and Irish) origins, the team is not a Malaysian registered team. I understand that they are registered in Dubai. All Malaysian registered teams are registered with AAM. They employ mostly foreign, Filipino mechanics. If there is a team that best embody the 1 Malaysia concept, it would be A1 Team Malaysia. They are trying their best to fully Malaysianize the team and thats the best they have done up til now. Including their 2 drivers they have managed just over 50% Malaysians within the team. Malaysia lacks experienced and skilled personnel for racing at that level. Thats why I find it amusing when the media report 200 members with full malaysian pit crew etc etc.. The best Malaysian crew for single seaters are all in A1 Team Malaysia with only 2-3 others in other outfits in the country.

A bit of correction on A1GP. The current A1GP car is NOT built by Ferrari. It was designed wholly by A1GP with consultation with Ferrari. However the V8 engine is fully Ferrari. In fact the car was actually assembled by A1 Team Malaysia mechanics THEMSELVES in August last year in the UK.

As for QI Meritus, it's certainly good to know that they have been around for so many years competing in the region. Though they have Malaysian(and Irish) origins, the team is not a Malaysian registered team. I understand that they are registered in Dubai. All Malaysian registered teams are registered with AAM. They employ mostly foreign, Filipino mechanics.
