VIDEO: New Bentley Mulsanne Short Film

Bentley Mulsanne

Bentley has produced a short film over just over 3 minutes in conjunction of the Bentley Mulsanne’s launch. The contents are quite obviously aimed at letting us know how much handwork and attention goes into producing one, but in reality, I’m really not feeling it because of the unappealing way it looks, especially at the front with its overcomplicated yet oddly simple round lights.

Oh by the way, did you notice how low the redline is on the Mulsanne’s engine? It’s very typical of a diesel but this baby’s running a twin-turbocharged V8 petrol! I’m pretty sure the 6.75 litre motor can rev higher than that, but with 512 PS and 1,020Nm of torque it probably really doesn’t need to.

Watch the short film after the jump.

Yup! It is a great luxury car. Nice video too

But I'm sorry, the front face of this car still looks kind of…a bit ugly to me..sorry..

I wonder what Jeremy Clarkson's mouth-full-of-crap would say about this car's front look.

jeremy clarkson is full of shit. that i can say much og him.his comments are all strays from the the important points. crappy old man..luxury exclusive cars like bentley&rolls royce MUST retain the "ugliness" of the design. what you want it to be like typical japanese cars? every cars wants to follow the current trend…what would bentley be unique from? modern looking designs are waayy inappropriate for big exclusive heavy cars..they gotta be boxy to match the size. just look at the mazda SUV…very big but with it's modern style…damn ugly..sore to my eyes each passing days…muscle cars & hummer just gotta be boxy & square shape all around. pity hummer are getting uglier…

Finally someone who appreciate great cars. Big cars should just keep the boxy design. Great taste bro =). I'm a fan of Japanese cars too but still I think that each manufacturer should have their own identity of cars. Thats where the passion and soul in automotive lies.

khin, Bentley and RR used to be under the same parent management previously, that's why they inherited the same design DNA, so to speak. However, things have changed so much now. I disagree that Bentley and RR looks the same anymore. Take a look at the new RR Ghost and tell me how different they look.

This is a beautiful and very classy car that I intend to buy next year. Unlike RR's this is a car thats meant to be driven, and I intend to burn the rubber with this baby.
