Honda’s new SKYDECK concept can seat 6 people in a three-row passenger configuration (2+2+2). Honda’s last 6-seater was the Honda Edix which has now been phased out, but that MPV had its 6 seats in a two row configuration, similiar to what Fiat did for their Multipla.
The styling cues are quite obviously inspired by the CR-Z, which leads me to believe this kind of look might become quite commonplace on future Hondas. The front doors have a scissor hinge like a Lamborghini while the rear door is of the rearward-sliding variety. The powertrain is of course a hybrid but no further details have been revealed.
More will probably be disclosed at the Tokyo show next month, so stay tuned, but for now you can look after the jump for hi-res images.

wow hope it becomes real rather than a concept
im 1st?
Good to see, some asian dude comes up with brilliant design.
wow… the seats looks like an office chair. damn thin…
The chair is flying? Anyway, the car looks good.
now we have Small Office, Home Office (SOHO)… this can potentially can be converted to MOHO… 'Mobile Office, Honda Office'.
Make there 2nd row seats turn-able 180°… and you're halfway there.
Not very practical in Malaysia, the weather here is hot hot hott!
@ fredo… try going to Tokyo during summer…
btw, there's always those thin layered protection we called tinted-film
make it a bit lower, stuff a v8 in it and presto!! a coupe, this is a gorgeous car btw
wow~ very sleek & gorgeous..can't proton do smething like dis??
A car for sun tan …. especially with damn hot weather here… anyway quite a design from Honda. When could we expect something "concept" from our local boys?
..then if Proton do like this, they will bash proton crazily..wasting tax payer money la, ugly la, stupid idea with office chair la..bla, bla..Anyway, this car look alike tenggiling..So now Honda design more toward tenggiling shape ..lol..
lambo scissors doors on a honda … nice
When Honda used those super thin seat no body complain. Last time P2 MPV uses the thin seat at the 3rd row some say "papan lapis"..What do you call this Honda super thin seat now?Card board??
its nice, but is the lambo doors practical? imagine inside parking lot. the ceiling is low the car is rather high.
anyone remember the toyota sora? came with butterfly doors, a few units in malaysia i believe.
@Tungkai…
We call it a 'concept'. In P2 cases… we call it 'in production'. So people HAVE TESTED IT. (even i myself tested it @ Angsana, JB…)
Of coz it's not a 'papan lapis'… but do u get the idea?
@ csv…
it's Toyota Sera… but yes, i remember the fuss bout' the car back then in the 90s.
so much nicer than CR-Z
Next gen Stream?
