Queensland Sports Minister Phil Reeves says it's up to the Premier to decide whether he should lose his job over the A1GP debacle unfolding on the Gold Coast.

Mr Reeves this morning admitted he had been lied to by A1GP boss Tony Teixeira, whom he said had assured the State Government as recently as last month that the open-wheel event was a certain start for this weekend.

Organisers announced on Saturday that the headline A1GP race would be scrapped and replaced with an extended V8 program after it was revealed 24 A1GP cars remained impounded in a UK storage shed over unpaid tax bills.

The pitstops are also more interesting. maybe dog is referring to the BS glitz and glamour which is better in F1. Unfortunate that there is no Pussycat Doll in A1GP :) I normally fall asleep after 10 laps of F1. So far no such thing with A1GP as there is more overtaking and incidents. I also get a sense of pride when our national team does well. I have been watching F1 since the Prost vs Senna days and I find F1 quite boring these days. They have not paid Ferrari and in return Ferrari simply do not want to have their logo associated with A1GP anymore. They reported that A1GPH also has trouble paying their staffs' salary.
