We`ll its 100% sure that the car will be very very underpowered. Let`s just hope that Toyota doesnt mockup with some dirty schemes to cash in, but leave the ECU as accessible as impreza or evo, just buy a usb plug and tune the ignition. Toyota could even make the exhaust manifold already for T3/T4 turbo bolts but .. they will F it up and make it ready for their own tuning parts..

Make it cheap like the Celica and it will sell. Only I am a bit annoyed at the way toyota is going enhancing its car. Its like they are selling the second best thing and if you give more money we will give you the best car. Boooo

I don’t think Toyota should make it exclusive. There are tons of exclusive car badges out there and to cash in on the market, its the non-exclusive products that really sell.

Personally I don’t mind if its not exclusive, I’d like to pimp my ride a little just to have that personal touch.

The original 86 was a hit because it looks good and is fun to drive. However the biggest “deal-maker” for the original 86 would be the affordable price it came in. So please, please keep the price low so the average joes like me can finally afford an FR.

Paul: Any idea what price range this car will most likely fall into?

This car ain’t gonna be cheap…but lots of Toyota fan will buy it since it’s been a long time Toyota haven’t churn out lots of sports compact/performance replacements for most legendary models.
