Nissan GT-R refreshed for 2011 model year

Nissan has refreshed the GT-R yet again. It was first unveiled back in 2007 and was revised at the end 2008. This new version is offered with a new HDD CARWINGS navigation system with enhanced entertainment features and USB port with iPod connectivity. The auto maker also did some work underneath the car with changes made to suspension.
The car’s front shock absorbers and springs have been tuned with increased accuracy while the rear suspension has been stiffened up as well. Furthermore the GT-R now comes with a rear diffuser fitted with cooling ducts. This system was previously offered only with the SpecV variant. The 485 PS GT-R also comes with new hexagonal meshed catalyst cells that can reduce ventilation or airflow resistance resulting in improved engine response at low and mid-range.
Speaking about the SpecV, the range topping version now features revised rear shock absorber settings and Dunlop-sourced tires that replace Bridgestone ones. However buyers can still opt for the Bridgestone rubber. Continue reading to view more images.

toyota coming to bite ur back….

it should not change any exterior because it has intensive wind tunnel work has resulted in one of the best drag coefficients in the sector – just 0.27 – which is all the more impressive on a supercar that generates high downforce front and rear.

2011 model year already launched now in Oct 2009? Or is it 2010MY?

They seems like making car to run at Wangan?
I saw at its LCD panel reads “Shuto Kousukou” and other Japanese highway names, and all those dials that Wangan runners usually used.
They really done their homework, unlike some “local” company who facelifted their car but performance still the same.

why no bigger horsepower.

“Japanese sports car maker Nissan”
What ? Nissan is neither a sportscar maker (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_March) nor a japanese company any more (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan#Alliance_with_Renault)...
Quote from the second link: ‘The Renault-Nissan Alliance is much closer, in practice to Renault takeover of Nissan with Renault holding 44.3% of Nissan shares, while Nissan holds 15% of Renault shares which does not give Nissan a voting or board representation due to legal restriction in France.’

Amazing, super and fantastic car!!! Dono what else to describe about it……….
October 21, 2009 @ 7:08 pm
isn’t this supposed to be the Spec-M? a silver GT-R was caught tested around the Nurbugring which came camouflaged on the front bumper and on the rear side skirts a few weeks ago.

So the Nissan Micra/March is a ’sports car’ for you ? Very interesting…
October 22, 2009 @ 7:36 am
I love this car so much, but somehow I feel that the Lexus LF-A will pawn this car…
October 22, 2009 @ 11:44 am
The same exterior?
Come on Nissan… I know you can do better!
Until now, I still prefer R34 exterior compared to R35.

Dashboard looks like a WWII bomber, you know the black n white theme. But then again, it reminds you that you’re driving a mean machine and pretty-pretty boy toycar.
October 22, 2009 @ 1:08 pm
i prefer LFA anytime
October 22, 2009 @ 2:28 pm
Hmmm…the desirable just gets more desirable…agreed with what LP560-4 juz said on the GTR 34 exterior looks which kinda reminiscent like a muscle car to me, not only that…just make a stick shift version la Nissan!! A GTR with no stick shift version feels like…hmmm…missing something…
October 22, 2009 @ 3:45 pm
Yes, the Lexus LFA can beat this car on a track. But, against the GTR Spec V, it will be a close fight!
October 22, 2009 @ 4:50 pm

Comparing V10 to a V6?? hahahaha….
i wonder if Nissan developed a V10 engine, how much horse will be produced then??
Oh yea, why not Nissan make a TRANSMISSION upgrade for this beast? Since the transmission has issues with the LC (Launch Control).. Not forgetting after the usage of LC and disabling the VDC, it will void the warranty. OUCH !!
October 23, 2009 @ 12:03 pm
Drag coefficient (Cd) of 0.27 doesn’t mean it experience drag force lower than for example porche with Cd of 0.3. Drag force is measured by effective front area times the drag coefficient times the speed. Let’s say Porsche front area is 200mm2 and GTR boxy front area is 400mm2. The Porsche will experience 60N/mm2 of drag compared to 108N/mm2 on GTR in same speed. Drag coefficient mean nothing just the measure of effectiveness in one single design. Yup that boxy design is effective. But there’s still room for improvement by reducing the boxyness thus reducing front area. To all readers out there this piece of information is important for you. Cd are just used for advertisement purposes. Get more information before you embarass yourself. Hey Paul, maybe you should start posting some lessons to educate us the readers. Not just updates on motoring industry. Regards
