New photo gallery of BMW ActiveHybrid X6

Members of the media all around the world were in Miami a few days ago to drive the new BMW X6 ActiveHybrid, and you should already be seeing the test drive reports pouring in. The X6 ActiveHybrid not only has a 4.4 liter twin-turbocharged V8, but an additional two electric motors to help it blast along, with maximum traction too thanks to all wheels being driven. As per normal practice, BMW has released a batch of new photos of the ActiveHybrid X6 snapped at the media test drive event. Enjoy the photos in high resolution glory after the jump. The old batch of photos are here.

Who wants to buy my Harrier?
But @Shan is right… 4.4 is overkill. 3.5 would be adequate.
Just another way for the Bavarian to slap a high price on this
monster.

That’s the way hybrids should be! More power, more efficiency! Not downsizing the engine and add an electric engine, and have some nice numbers to brag about…

Maybe top gear will showcase this in the new season. Never know. Starts this sunday

Paul, whats the weight of this thing? The electric motors and accompanying bits surely will add significant and compromise handling but the acceleration must be phenomenal. So will the improved fuel consumption. Are the motors at the wheels or between the gearbox and engine?

Awesome! This is more like my dream car.

This 6 series is making me feel uncomfortable…
I feel like its challenging car makers and owners knowledge on cars.
Is it powerful, is it great , i dunno, all i know is like im staring at a car with a washing machine motor.
Pretty soon we all soon need an electrician than a real mechanic.

ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE…
November 13, 2009 @ 2:32 pm

November 13, 2009 @ 2:33 pm

November 13, 2009 @ 5:59 pm
