Following the trend of releasing images of a car before its motor show debut, Cadillac shows us the CTS-V Coupe ahead of the 2010 Detroit Motor Show, which starts in five days time. We will bring you live coverage from the first major motor show of 2010, but for now let’s turn our attention to this sharp looking Caddy.
As its name suggests, the CTS-V Coupe is a two-door version of America’s BMW M5 fighter. It shares the sedan’s 6.2-litre supercharged V8 with 556 bhp and 747 Nm of torque, which propels it from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds – the sort of figure that was reserved purely for high-end exotica not too long ago. Choose between a manual or automatic with paddle shifters, both with six speeds. Power goes to the rear wheels via a limited-slip differential
The CTS-V Coupe has a Magnetic Ride Control system with two modes (Tour and Sport) and big Brembos (6-pistons up front and 4-pistons at the back). Inside, desirable options include 14-way adjustable Recaro seats fitted with pneumatic bolster controls. More information to come when we see it in the metal at Motor City!

Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Gosh..0 to 100km/h in 3.9sec..it's fast! it's burning!
i prefer m5. germans over americans anytime.
COOL!~
yeah really fast laa at straight lines.. but when comes to corner also go straight laaaa… is it? american muscle?
lousy car…rather get a european sportscar
How does this car handle? anyway..that upper & lower grille design with the wire mesh looks familiar..
I swore I saw them somewhere on another car…
another brilliant engineering from the land of "freedom"
u will visit the petrol station even faster but then again, if u can buy this vehicle, fuel consumption is a non-issue
Reminds me of d last Celica – straight line/ruler obsessed designer, only bigger
it all look the same , this one looks a bit fat n chunky , cadillac needs a new design language…
Way too boxy for everyone's taste. GM should learned from Lamborghini how to make edgy but still, beautiful-looking cars…
this is 1 bad american beast, but gimme a M6 anytime…

Caddilac's Art & Science (boxyness to you and me) have been working well. They are nice looking cars, better in person.
The first generation CTS (or 2nd generation – the first being called the Catera , CTS being Catera Touring Sedan) sure turned caddy back from the dead…..
Just because they are American doesn't mean they are useless when the roads get bendy.
For those not in the know and still comment like they know, the CTS has always been built with a hint of European chassis tuning, the original Catera being the same Opel Omega. It is as BMW as you would get this side of the pond. Its marketed as the "Caddy that zigs" with that unforgettable duck of all mascots
Sure, the M5 is better…but then again, the M5 is crap load more expensive.
The coupe is good looking, but the real stunner is the CTS Sports Wagon.
the front looks like a Honda Prelude!
When will American ever learn…..waiting for another disaster in american automotive industry to happen….yupp, always wanna produce gasoline hungry cars, end up no buyers….bailout AGAIN….
huduh…. not my liking
look like Dmax
Gorgeous, light years better than the bland M3/M5. BMW and Mercedes need to rethink their styling, Cadillac is making them look like Camrys. BOOOORING!

R u sure? I think Those Americanos better Shut their Plant… WT Fugly design car…
everyone has their preferences, though i'm not too fond of american cars; this coupe looks fresh & nice in terms of its design… americans will always be for muscles, it's in their genes; instead of practicality and functionality.
like it or not, don't forget most of us/world here depends on american businesses; without them, think we would hv the job we are holding now?
without american, there will be no Intel, no AMD, no computer, no internet!
don't blindly criticizing US
