I just booked a vios J myself. Not that I dont like city but because I want to do the shortest loan duration and vios J auto is the perfect match for me. So everyone has their own criteria and requirement, go and find it yourself before condemning and bombarding vios or city.

For your info, the car pricing in Malaysia is NOT determined by the manufacturers. Its determined by the GOVERNMENT. The basic prices of the cars are mostly the same. The basic prices of our cars are almost the same as in US or Europe. The only difference is with the excise duties and import taxes and to a certain minimal extent, the currency exchange.

we are supporting them even though they have faulty parts and need to recall the car. the body is not solid, it closes the door with the sound of a tong kosong. just the engine is maybe a little superior to the rest. but i rather have a sturdier car protecting my life.

we have become the cause of the high prices for these crap cars.

Sg.Buloh, I have no choice to sent it there coz they are trying to rectify my problem…Btw can i actually request for compensation for all my travelling and inconvenience expenses occur while my car was in the service center? Was travelling with taxi and bus. Its horrible and time taking (always late to work).

I think you don’t even read about the Forte spec, not going to mention to test drive it. Pls do some study on the Forte new Gemma and Theta engine and how they are developed from.

Anyway if u have any idea where can i get someone proper to solve my problem i would be appreciated. Putting a car so long in the service center its something not what i feel its right whereby to ensemble a new car would not take such a long time at all. The worst its a hassle and inconvenience for me. I am totally disappointed actually. I sometimes do wonder did i make the right choice? plan & plan for few months then only commit. FYI, its about 4 months my car now but the car was sent in the service center 1st round 3 weeks and now coming another 3 weeks so total about a month plus, maybe i manage to use the car for 2 months?

What year is your Vios anyway? If u wanna upgrade then i suggest dont choose Altis. My personal opinion Altis isnt that great a car. The Civic is better. But i think u have the same problem as me which is we are reluctant to leave Toyota.

Im also gonna upgrade as my Vios is 7 yrs old now. But i havent come across a suitable car yet. Im looking in the 1.8-2.0L category. Very reluctant to move to some Korean make as the after sale service here in Malaysia is crap. But i think ill just be patient and wait since my Vios does not have any problems so far.

You are out of point. I am not talking about national cars. Whether the car is marketed by naza or otherwise it is still a KIA. The only difference is the distribution and after sales network.

U talked about the Kia Forte sales being very high jump from Jan to feb and i answered u based on that. I didnt say anything about resale value here. So dont bring in useless comparisons.

If u want to compare then please compare NON national cars with NON national cars. Dont mis them up. The pricing strategy is very different. I am talking about the Vios here.

Forte is considered as 3rd national car leh. So hor, ou mentioned that we cannot compare national P1/P2 with non-national (Vios/City are made in Thailand wor, but just carrying japs name oni), then why you compare naza with the japs leh? Is it that u have strong prejudice against other cars?? or u have just wanted to try to fabricate some facts to achieve some interests/motives?

From the data by motor trade malaysia, we could analyse that:
1. By price range, SAGA wins! if cybermaster98 u r going to say, “no no no, they are different segment”, ok lor, then Persona wins! (but then we talk about price range wor, who cares about the segment neh??)

2. By segment, saga is the winner in the B-seg!
And civic is the winner in C-seg (forte is catching up oh! altis and lancer is behind forte leh, jia lat! how ah, cybermaster98?? help!)!
And Exora is the winner in the MPV seg.

3. By the category of national car, regarless of the segment but just units sold, Saga wins!

4. By the category of non-national car, Vios wins!

so i feel har, if u wan to go for the good price range car, the SAGA!
if for good resale value, u must go for the most popular car, the SAGA!
if u wan the best in the B-seg car, go for SAGA!
if u wan the best in the national car, the SAGA!
if u wan the best in the C-seg car, the Civic!
if u wan the best in the non-national car, the Vios!
