Bufori set to unveil MkVI luxury saloon in Geneva

Bufori has announced that it will present an all new vehicle at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. Called the MkVI saloon for now, it will be powered by a 6.1 litre engine. Unfortunately we do not have information regarding its power figures at the moment. It took Bufori two years to develop the MkVI which is the brand’s first 4-door vehicle.

Pictured above is an initial sketch released by the company and it points to Bufori’s typical design language: modern day motoring under a vintage-styled skin. It will be made to order and production is scheduled to start in June 2010. Bufori will also reveal the saloon’s official name during the launch.

Well, it looks good, but wonder if its practical. Its a huge engine, wonder if its any practical. they should go for a smaller engine

Wow, suicide door! Well, I do hope Bufori could one day become the Pagani of luxury saloon. New luxury brand but with pedigree as good as RR or Bentley.

Buforis are not known for their 'practicality'. They are special niche vehicles. Don't see anything wrong with a large cc 6L engine especially for a 4 door large saloon type of luxurious car.

1:39.6 for Fauzy, 1:40.0 for Barrichello. They are still the only two men on track.

barrichello has never been a superb driver. he is just too slow most of the time.

meanwhile, suicide door is one of the hardest door to be done on a car when they need to meet the regulation of crash test.

    Paul,

If you had looked carefully during your visit to the factory last year, you would probably notice the concept model already completed, and it has got the YTL logo on it, kind of like the flying lady of the Rolls-Royce.

It wasn't an outstanding design, but it's revolutionary, compared to their previous models. Hope government can give them support to develop their brand.

Looking at the sketch, will it retain the front looks of its current cars? I think Bufori should move the game on, maybe modernized retro look in the same way like Morgan & Weismann cars.

Is this an in-house design or Bufori contracts an outside firm? Looks good for a global market.

I have a soft spot for guys like Bufori. Their cars might be wacky, but I feel they build cars that they passionately want to see on the road, not what the survey/marketing ppl says. Maybe this is what most journos call the car's 'soul'. You can feel that the people who makes the car really cares about it.

If this car is any good, the state royalties should at least support this company a bit by buying one for their use. Then, at least they can claim to support Malaysian product.
