Thier first one is in Alabama and was operational since 2005. This one is not entirely "new", somewhere along the way, they had to close one of thier plants in Canada, this new KIA plant is simply to replace it when demand picked up. Dont rely to much on google. see for your self, visit the plant. I knew, I have been there. PTMSB is very similar to KMMG except the 2 miles test track. To acheive 1 mil volume Proton need to replicate the current phase 1(RM1.8bill plant that produce up to 250K) 3 times meaning 4 stamping plant, 4 welding plant, 4 painting plant and 4 assembly plant.

Anyway good for Kia. Proton should learn from them
