Chevrolet have added a fourth car in the World Touring Car Championship starting with the Monza leg. The usual Chevrolet Cruzes of Rob Huff, Alain Menu and Yvan Muller are still fielded while the new entry is piloted by Argentinian Leonal Pernia.
Leonal’s background includes the TC2000 Championship in Argentina, TC2000 Copa Endurance, and Turismo Carretera. The 34 year old came in 2nd in the whole series and 3rd in the Copa Endurance.
Chevrolet is currently at the top of the Manufacturers Championship and have achieved two podiums for Race 2, with Yvan Muller in the top spot and Robert Huff securing third place in the final race. Leonal Pernia came in 10th while Alain Menu came in 9th.
General Motors and Naza Group are working together to bring the Chevrolet Cruze to Malaysia in the form of the 1.8 litre Cruze sedan. The Cruze has been Chevy’s top selling car in its class in China, Australia, India and Singapore and is expected to be launched in Malaysia very soon. They plan to sell around 1600 units of the Cruze this year alone.

cruze will be launch here at 10/6
I hear the price is gonna be below RM100K, for a 1.8l and 6 speed, must save up to get an all white, am happy with my current captiva, after sales service is great and should be even better now with NAZA stabilizing the brand
WTCC is a more relevant racing series to day to day car compared to F1
Drove this while in the US last year. Excellent car I must add, good pick up too. I had a bad perception of Chevrolet(Daewoo rebadged…) but not anymore.
