Hyundai to premiere new ix20 B-segment MPV at Paris

This is the first sketch released of an upcoming new Hyundai model called the Hyundai ix20. Despite the x in its name which so far has been given to new Hyundai SUV models, the ix20 is actually a B-segment MPV, according to Hyundai at least. This could possibly be a replacement for the seriously aging Hyundai Matrix but I’m not totally sure, but what’s probably confirmed is that its a Hyundai counterpart to the Kia Venga. The Hyundai ix20 will be displayed at the Paris Motorshow 2010 on the 30th of September 2010 but I bet a few images will be released in between this sketch and the show debut.

Paultan.org seems to be dead fast on the news .. sometimes I think they get their news even before people in Hyundai get theirs.

Kia / Hyundai seems to be improving every year.
That’s why our Govt is suggesting that P1 and P2 merge
however sad to say they can never see eye to eye.

    paul,

I believe this is from the Getz/i20 line. Matrix is in the C-segment/i30 range, the 6/7-seater replacement of which will be launched next year.

Locally, not sure when this ix20(thought that it was to be called iC20) will be here as even the i20 is yet to come.

The Koreans are coming up with beautiful and reliable cars – they will capture the car market soon at this rate they are going. Good – our roads will not be monopolized by Japanese cars. The new Sonota is very beautiful and I believe its performance could be comparable or even better than Toyota or Honda.

to this and the new sonata and those spy pics Verna and that Russian accent concept

Hyundai you are not catching up

    you are grabbing up

finally one company has got the mantra

If it aint fast, at least make it look cool

and well after reading the road test for the new sonata

I am glad to say that a combination without compromise has been achieved.

    period.
