Malaysian Chevrolet distributor Naza Quest Sdn Bhd have revealed that they will be launching the Chevrolet Orlando 7-seater MPV in Malaysia in the second half of 2011. The Chevrolet Orlando is built upon the Chevrolet Cruze’s chassis with a stretched 2,760mm wheelbase, similar to how the Honda Stream and the Toyota Wish are also derived from C-segment platforms.
While most of its competitors are quite rounded and curvy, the Chevrolet Orlando stands out in its segment with its American style buff angular design – very much like a box!
Globally, three different engines are available with the Orlando – a 141 PS 1.8 litre petrol engine similar to the one found in the Cruze as well as two 2.0 litre turbodiesel engines in two different tunes – 130 PS or 163 PS. There’s also a large 2.4 litre petrol engine for North America. Naza Quest did not say which engine options they are bringing in – a diesel would definitely be nice!
Look after the jump for a photo gallery of the Orlando.

Looks good another choice for SUV…. wonder Naza would price it right if not will end up like Cruze which we see handful on the road as Forte seems a better deal.
Pricing would be the main determining factor here.
Anything above the 100K mark would face massive
competition from other makes.
With fuel prices on the rise Naza should bring in some
fuel efficient diesel models. But on the other hand we are
still waiting for Euro4 diesel.
Wonder how come the govt is dragging its feet on this matter ??
right price will definitely make it an excellent alternative to the future MPV buyers. Ppl who’re bored with too much Japanese MPV sights with conventional design can definitely opt for this boxy American style. Let’s see how the Orlando bloom in our market… :D
oh man, the design is so awkward.
but different! i like.
but can it beat rondo’s features and size at such a price?
looks like grand livina from the side. btw the cruze is underpower with the 1.8 engine so how will it perform with the orlando heavier body? hopefully the the turbocharged 2.0 engine will do better.
Toyota Avanza and Nissan Grand Livina Killer (and maybe Proton Exora & Perodua Alza killer too)…XD
anyway, nice interior..not so plastical and price higher also quite reasonable..
there is a storage behind the radio panel? look quite creative..
hope naza will not change the interior material to the cheaper one, example like the steering spoke, pls remain the same but not changes to grey color plastic which look cheap..
Not so good looking for an american MPV, considering other more advanced looking GM’s car…this one look confused…they try to mix it between a wagon and a truck/suv..and it ends up to be so confused…
Anyway, this would be a good choice for outdoor type family man…good to carry roofbox on the top or mountain bike on the roof or at the back. The floor height is good for ‘rough’ terrain/usage…i’ll put this as an option for am that type of guy…but please put it at good pricing…at that time, exora turbo might surfaced and exora turbo may easily kill this one off…for me, should’t be more than RM130k if they really want to capture the market and fill the road with chevy…good luck!
kinda looks like unser to me… but interior seems nice..
BTW, Naza should consider CKDeed this one and put it on sale at RM100k…hot cakes…more and more malaysian are now opting for 7 seaters and outdoor activities…thus a tough and rugged boxy looking MPV like this shuld appeal some portion of peopel…
and the seat arrangements remind me of Proton Exora!..very much like it…
Yes, a turbo diesel unit would be great.
Bring diesel Naza or don’t bring at all. Only way Naza.
will it sell well? look at the cruze, hardly on the roads. :P
Pimp It !! Changed to 20″ Bling Bling rim + lower the car….Should look nice..Sooo american….
Yes, Diesel Please!!
buruk lah ini kereta. Exora/Alza/Livina much better! if i really need an MPV I’ll go for Exora. If i got 150K i’ll take recond ACR 30. That’s about it.
mentality malaysian, yeah dont judge a book by its cover…
i think the car will be around rm100k or above cuz it’s a chevrolet!!
diesel 2.0 please…
diesel 2.0 please..
Is it another Daewoo model in a Chevrolet marque? I am still waiting for local dealers to to bring in the impressive, cutting edge Volt to the local market. Of cause, at a competitive price.
