Isuzu Malaysia last night launched the 2011 D-Max pickup, which features more in the way of bling. With an emphasis on style, the improvements to the vehicle are pretty much based on appearance.
Up front, the new bumper design incorporates a bold new bumper guard. Also new to the exterior dress up job are chromed front fog lamp bezels and new polished finish sports wheels.
There’s also a redesigned side step – the new design aids in giving the D-Max an accented body line while providing easier ingress and exit from the vehicle. Completing things outside is a new roll bar, which is finished in a light-alloy texture.
Inside, the D-Max gets a whole new dimension, with the use of black trim in place of the previous grey base. This new colour scheme extends to the dashboard, door panels, pillars and headlining. Contrast is provided by chrome accents on the air-conditioning vents, speaker bezels and gearshift.
Mechanically, the 2011 D-Max remains familiar – continuing on under the bonnet are the 2.5 litre and 3.0 litre Super Commonrail engines as well as the 2.5 litre direct-injection mill. Both Super Commonrail-engined models now come with a distinctive platinum-coloured engine cover.
Two new exterior colour choices join the shade lineup – a bolder new white and a more radical metallic black colour add on to the current five body colours available. Pricing starts from RM74,273 for the 2.5LS Direct Injection Diesel Turbo 4×2 MT right up to RM99,296 for the range-topping 3.0L Ddi i-TEQ Super Commonrail 4×4 AT, on-the-road with insurance.

Awesome!
new ????????still the same car…2008 model. is only accessories different. nothing special
Dressed up a bit but vital internal components remain the same.
no…..not again. enough already!
Nice!!
If I do not need a 7-seater, I will get this, a 2.5 but with AT :)
Reminds me of my diesel I-Mark.
is D-max rear passenger space better compare to Triton?
For the rear passenger space of triton is not much different with dmax, there is only a different between the head rest is quit straight for some customers compare with triton, but at the same time their is more bumpy for the rear seaters for triton because of their rear doors design. The more longer body of the pick up model, the more bumpy of the pick up model.
thanks for your input,
I found that Triton more acceptable in term of rear passenger space, bumpy or not will not be an issue for me as I will use it more in urban area..
If wanna go offroad, i prefer older 4×4 like Pajero L047 or Landy 110 perhaps :)
Yep, Landy 110 is best for offroading.
So far, Triton and Hilux tops the list for rear passenger seat and leg room comfort. Navara is next in the list.
Let’s see when the new Ford Ranger comes …
last time we did 1,600 km from bangkok to malacca.. with only one full tank.. (^_^)
dmax rocks..
What is the average and top speed of the truck during whole trip?
yes what the speed
awesome nice car
hmmmm…. the rim its totally not match with this kind of truck..
the closest muscle n bling combination i can ever think of
is Dr Dre and i can comfortably confirm he has the best
muscle-bling combination
this d-max?
D size matters not for this, but for jenna
This Isuzu looks more better than the older one and it looks like it can pack a punch. It’s gotten bigger and tougher . I find the word bling to it, funny.
Pretty impressive but I prefer Navara as my choice
My D-max is still under warranty but Isuzu rejected my warranty claim dued to periodic maintenance not on schedule. The absorber oil is leaking and it doesnt has anything to do with oil changes. The aircond 3 years warranty but the authorised center said not covered. I heard a lot of claims been rejected by Isuzu dued to PM not on schedule. Isuzu is using this excuses to reject the warranty claim.
thanks for sharing…
my toyota altis, ex toyota vios also same issue…
though can change to this car, luckily read your comment…
limit my next choose to korea car then..
Me too bro, my dmax just reach 55k, the absorber had leaked n engine is leaking. need to change the oil seal and gasket. Cant have warranty due to periodic maintenance..
Do you drive on rough roads?
me too broo, very disappointing with isuzu..
this is probably the most face lifted truck on the market…there been like 6 revisions now or somethin?..get a move on isuzu and change your truck….its not like u have loads of passenger cars to consider…..u make freakin trucks for a living!..lol…..
Pretty ugly body kit and rims
I rather say that this is not a new model. It’s just accumulating the number of facelift to this truck since the day it launched. Except for the proven fuel efficiency and softer ride compared to other trucks, I guess nothing more can be expected from this truck. Unless they improve the front suspension to improve handling esp. during fast cornering, I will not turning back to this truck.
i will… wait for the Colorado or new Ranger…. 2012 isn’t that far away.
