It’s turned out to be quite a handsome car, said to be slightly larger and with softer lines than the previous generation Panda it will replace. Fiat has also updated it with the latest trends like daytime running lights, fitted in the area between the fog lamps and the head lamps.

A few small and fuel efficient engine options will be available – a 69 horsepower 1.2L, a 65hp 2 cylinder TwinAir 0.9L, an 85hp 2 cylinder TwinAir turbo 0.9L, a 75hp 1.3 MultiJet diesel, and flex fuel versions of the 0.9L and 1.2L engines. A more powerful Abarth Panda is also said to be in the works.

What shape is that steering? Not circle nor GT style. Is it slotted in between both?

it’s a cute car. wonder why we don’t have it here…
would make superminis market here more colourful…
    (it’s in superminis segment right?)

which make me realize…french, italian don’t offer their superminis here…
would it be because the price will be higher than it should?

    • I own the Panda, built in year 2004…and I’m still loving it’s drive.

Not many were brought in for the simple reason that it was about 20K more than a Myvi. Not to mention also about the absolutely pathetic SC that Torino is! You can get a the 2009 edition for about 70K++?? Maybe lower, but it’ll be sitting in the yard…

As for why very few conti superminins? The answer lies with protectionism… and not to mention the 100% or more tax levied on these cars. So who would buy, except die hards?

me like! unfortunately in malaysia, the panda will not be able to compete with cars like the myvi and saga. not because the saga & myvi is better, its because malaysian’s in general are suckers!
