The fourth-generation Pampas cat, replete with minor nip and tuck job, has made its way here – Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia has introduced the upgraded Pajero. The biggie now comes with a redesigned front grille and bumper, new skid plate, a restyled roof rail and a new 18-inch alloy wheel design for revised external cues.
Inside, the dashboard now features red illumination to sport things up a bit, and to make it easier to park and reverse the beast into place, there’s a rear view camera system – which has a monitor incorporated into the auto dimming mirror – to help things along. Also introduced on the 250 PS 3.8 litre V6-shod vehicle is the Brake Overide System, which cuts engine power in case of simultaneous application of both accelerator and brake pedal.
All other creature comforts and mod cons remain, including leather seats, powered front seats, automatic climate control, rear air-conditioning with independent control, auto levelling HID headlamps, and a 12-speaker, 860 watt Rockford Acoustic surround system.
The Pajero, which is available in four colours – Warm White Mica, Black Mica, Cool Silver Metallic and Quartz Brown Metallic – goes for RM298,980 on-the-road, inclusive of insurance.

rear view mirror is optional? pay extra RM500 for one?
Why don’t they launch the base-line Pajero for low-income offroaders?
Yes,because the base line will be around 200k plus, which is easily affordable for all low income offroaders~
proton pls rebadge this & make it more ganas…
Agree with DP. Australia gets the top end 3.2 diesel tapi kita org dapat engine reject. Minum petrol pulak tu. 17L per 100 km. Road tax pun tinggi giler.
agree with you bro….i came across a 2 door 2008 re-con 3.0 and low spec, retail at rm199k…..talking ABOUT 2 doors suv, the jpn spec toyota FJcruiser will be coming in as grey import….. very solid looking man……
The trend now is smaller engines but high torque and fuel efficient…only those who gets free petrol will buy this Pajero..ex government depts and contractors..
My friend told me the consumption is more like 50 cents per km, they should really offer a budget version that is close to RM200k.
Pajero /shogun wuz a must-have item back in the day along with mitsu gto3000, FTO, lancer ..all cuz of Jackie Chan movies.. now… mmm….
Ugly betty
Nice facelift, kind of bring back the second generation glory of misubishi’s 4wd era.
Wonder how it will look with the old school two tone color scheme..
