Go for the petrol version. It’s sounds much smoother and Malaysian diesel ain’t that top grade. BMW said it works fine but I personally wouldn’t put “lower” grade fuel into my BMW. And Malaysian diesel do polute the air quite a lot with its high sulphur content although it gives you unpared efficiency compared to petrol..

Agree, neighbour few doors away drives the new 520d. Efficient but could be better with better diesel in this country.

And the clattering it makes in the morning is almost akin to a commercial truck.

I like the 535i. Superb drive.

compare ur bdgt n model range, then chk out both authorsed bmw & those local AP’s, c wat amt fits ur bdgt. i hv a beemer AP unit 2002 model, engine is running smoothly cause i manage to get two very reliable mechanics. milage oledi hit 300k but things r running great. no major component failure at this point, touch wood. of course, be prepared for higher maintenance cost as compared to local manufacturered cars… but u get the driving pleasure on the beemer. once u drive a beemer, u will know the thrill of the drive
