New Ford Focus Titanium hatch sighted at SDAC PJ

New Ford Focus Titanium hatch sighted at SDAC PJ

It looks like the new Ford Ranger isn’t the only car that Sime Darby Auto ConneXion will be busy with this year – a LYN forumer redbull_y2k posted these two pictures of a 2012 Ford Focus Titanium at what appears to be a Chinese New Year Lion Dance program at the SDAC PJ 3S center.

What do you think – looks pretty good eh? I’m not sure what this means though in terms of launch date, as SDAC has a history of bringing in future models for different purposes way before the actual launch date.

For example, before the Fiesta was launched, they brought in a 1.4 liter automatic unit from Singapore for teaser roadshows and we even reviewed that particular car in Driven.

Later, customers also reported sighting the Mondeo EcoBoost and S-MAX EcoBoost at the same PJ 3S center way before the launch.

    • How to compare? Ford is 1 class higher than P1 here but due to selling price, P1 sales will sure win while the Ford is literally the better car. I can tell by the plastic on each cars.. Lol..

      • plastic, so what about ford, metal? all dashboard is using plastic too, it just matter of design only whether beautiful or not

        • Haha, proton supporter, can’t you understand what is he saying in his post? He mean the quality of plastic in both cars, not proton is made of plastic. -.-

Indeed…he know how to differentiate Thailand plastic in Focus from Malaysian plastic in P1 recycled from Bukit Tagar landfill hehehe

I doubt that. It’s not like jap cars are cheap to maintain anyway. When you break it down, it’s pretty much the same to some extend.

the discussion about RV is surely aimed at toyota, honda, etc. these brands are slowly being eaten alive by the contis and koreans.

i’m guessing resale value of those contis and koreans will increase in time to come and toyota, honda, etc will be left in the dust.

increase in time? If only they really look into their own issues. My friend’s Forte can’t even start her engine after only 1 year purchase, worst thing is that service center can’t fix it after 3 weeks, excuse is “sorry too much Forte facing same problem, no stock”……………….either they are telling the truth —- Forte has many problem or their management is very very poor.

  • FFS, what Tuah competitor or what not. This is on par with a VW Golf but mostly will fall around the price range of a Honda Civic.

Tuah competes against Myvi 1.5L, Forte, City, Vios, etc etc.

People who buy this are those who were thinking of Civic, Altis or VW Golf.

Proton’s also using one of these for their benchmarking for the Tuah. It’s about time SDAC brought it in, every other country has been heaping praise on it.

Looks much sexier compared to the current generation of Focus but from the pictures, it also looks pretty small probably sitting somewhere between the borderline of B- and C-segment car. The current generation of Focus is big, spacious and the soft touch plastics…oh la la.

What are the spec? Does it really come with Ecoboost + Powershift?

Checked out Ford Spore website and it listed the Focus with 1.6 NA and 4 speed auto only tho another website mentioned the 1.6 NA with Titanium trim comes with Powershift and Ecoboost is available in manual tranny.

Bring in the eco Lpi engine with Orbital tech in it and it will make a lot of difference. It seems that Ford still have lots of surprises at bay.
