Nissan Navara Single Cab 4×2 – the workhorse arrives!

Nissan Navara Single Cab 4×2 – the workhorse arrives!

Edaran Tan Chong Motor has announced the introduction of the Nissan Navara Single Cab – aimed very much at commercial users, the vehicle is based on the Navara pickup’s underpinnings and is powered by the most powerful commonrail diesel engine in its class.

It’s powered by a 2.5 litre YD25DDTi commonrail turbocharged diesel unit, with 144 PS and 294 Nm for numbers, and the lump is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. As for body style designs, there are three to pick from (luton, steel or wooden body configurations), with each being built on a double-layered, high-tensile metal frame chassis reinforced, with a maximum payload of 750 kg.

Like the other Navara variants, the Single Cab wears the well-proven independent double-wishbone front suspension and a rigid rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs. Safety equipment includes side-impact beams, a collapsible steering wheel column as well as a load sensing brake system that evenly distributes brake pressure to the rear wheels for optimal stopping performance, with front disc brakes part of the standard kit.

Mod cons for the driver and passenger include large comfortable seating, an air-conditioning system and a standard CD/radio audio head unit. Pricing for the Navara Single Cab starts from RM64,391, excluding road tax, insurance and registration-related charges.

I agree and they are just spoiling the macho image of the Navara double cab that cost them so much resource to build. They must remove the V shaped trapezoid plastic stuff from the front.

Pity Navara owners! Suddenly their macho-Hummer-sized pickup is likened to lori sayur, lori pasir etc… Not a good way of promoting a brand…

armada is not suitable in Malaysia. my family and i currently in Doha, Qatar. Nissan Armada is way too big. As wide as H2’s, as tall as new Land Cruiser and much longer than hilux. it features a 5.8 V8 engine.

we do own a Honda Pilot, it’s a nice balance between space (8seater), power (3.5v6 ivtec) and fuel economy. :)
