Ford Fiesta Sedan facelift sighted testing on public roads near the Nurburgring!

We’ve seen disguised spyshots of the upcoming facelift for the Ford Fiesta hatchback earlier this year, where we first saw a glimpse of what could be a completely revamped front end based on Frankfurt 2011’s Ford Fiesta ST Concept, which featured a big Aston Martin-like gaping mouth.

This is the first time we’ve got photos of the facelifted Fiesta sedan on test, and it’s got less disguise on the front end, revealing what appears to be a big gaping grille similiar to the ST Concept, but with more conventional horizontal bars instead of the sporty mesh on the ST, a look that we expect to be reserved for the production Fiesta ST once it is launched.

The rear end looks to have been completely revamped – almost uncovered here are a new tail lamp design that’s wider and sharper than that on the pre-facelift Fiesta sedan. This helps the Fiesta sedan’s tail end look alot less like an oddity.

Frankly I think this new design makes so much more sense as it helps soften the tall tail look of the sedan and help it appear to be wider, and Ford didn’t even have to look far for inspiration as a similiar design is already used on the Mondeo.

Here come the most exciting moment for the world car industry of the new FORD FIESTA. The car look much more bigger than the previous one but the beauty is always there.

Pity for those who just bought Proton Preve, Kia Forte, Inspira, New Myvi for making a wrong decision. It’s not to late for you guys just sell your car and trade in with this new Ford Fiesta

brotha, you cant judge how wealthy people are…10k-20k different may be a huge gap to them..let say to earn myvi only have to pay 500 a month while fiesta u need to fork out 700-800 a month..that difference can be made to pay some other utility bills..
some may to show off but some are smart to pay less for cars..people like u..ermm no comment

    • LOL. I’m sure the Ford styling team are happy they tricked you into thinking this is a much bigger car. This is a facelift only, no change to the body shell so the car is the same size. I pity ppl like you who don’t understand the meaning of facelift.

Don’t take him seriously. He just went in any thread and say Fiesta is the best regardless the situation.

By the way, it is still fugly to me.

Curious to know how much Sime Darby pay you for going round all treads promoting Fiesta? While they are laughing all the way to the bank, you here like a fool promoting their product.

hopefully the facelift looks much better. the rear lights are currently too small and aren’t elegant enough, making the rear look dumpy from a straight-on view. hope the facelift changes the outlook. I can live with the narrowness of the car but just to compare, its mazda2 sedan sibling with around the same width has a nicer rear than the fiesta sedan currently.

    • i think it is good. this way the handling can be sorted out early in development and you can be sure that you’re getting a sure footed and safe handling car, even though it is a family car. since they are testing it again, could there be suspension upgrades to the already good handling of the car?

  • Nice ! I like it very much. If it is sold at the same price with same safety spec as pre-facelift, and maybe add in a cruise control & smart keyless and push start button for RM 86K, I’ll book 1.

i prefer the 5-door fiesta…look sporty and spontaneous…4-door look strange…sth like the extension of the 5-door…instead ford may design dedicated saloon model.

yes, it is an ugly car from rear…. but that ugly look just add a wider frown to onlookers as it is capable to tailgate almost any n/a car.

i own 1, and will definitely buy another 1 after 4 years.

it is good to have something that is uncommon and freaking fast.

I went to ford showroom today and I actually prefer the sedan to hatchback. And easier on the pocket, too.

But for Sabah, it’s like RM3000 more expensive than the Peninsula price. What the heck!
