Nissan Sylphy and Livina X-Gear Tuned by Impul unveiled at Super GT Round 3 in SIC

Looks like this is becoming a tradition. During last year’s Super GT in Sepang, Nissan launched the Grand Livina tuned by Impul. This year, Nissan has thrown the covers off the Sylphy and Livina X-Gear Tuned by Impul.

As the name of the cars suggest, Impul have lend their customisation expertise and added something extra in these everyday cars. The changes are just cosmetic, which leave the engine untouched.

The extra kit that comes with the Sylphy and Livina X-Gear Tuned by Impul includes the Impul Blast 2 Exhaust Muffler, Impul Aura SX-20 17 inch alloy wheels and Impul Complete Aerokit Rear Wing Spoiler. The cars also come with Impul Sports Suspension System that lowers ride height and delivers a sportier handling.

The X-Gear comes at a price of RM90,800 and the Sylphy is yours for RM125,988. Both prices are on-the-road with insurance. All Impul parts comes with a three-year or 100,000 km warranty on manufacturing defects if they are purchased and fitted by ETCM on a brand new X-Gear or Sylphy.

At least they finally put bigger wheels on the Sylphy….makes the car look less than it was rolling on castors….but at this price…I would think the Pug 408 turbo might be a better car for slightly less.

    The x-gear looks nice though.

current sylphy already use 16″ instead of old 15″. yeah the xgear looks nice..but 17″ rubber is too thin i guess.

rear wheel drum brakes with 2.0 car and four bolts each wheel with “””IMPUL””” body.
At harsh braking scenario or at time of accident, its not “”IMPUL”” body kit who saves passengers life but passive and active SAFETY FEATURES help to Minimise the impact.
    common sense things
so simply boycott these products whereby they not consider customer safety.
    see european cars safety features

do more research related to rear disc brake. yes it helps, but very minimal. and the heat generated also very minimal. the only disadvantages is the value of the price u pay..considering other brand use rear disc brake. but functionality and safety not that inferior.

woulld u be the sales man from nissan,
if rear disc brakes got minimum function then all europe cars would not waste time to put that with ventilation function(not heat generation)
this is the matter of understanding only

Ever since Nissan failed miserably in their X-Trail model, they tried bringing in a new Subaru SUV. And now they are dressing up this step-sister Livina as X-Gear for their SUV? The ‘heart’ & ‘legs’ of the Livina is not even designed it! Transformer? Haiya!

Hi Chris, it would be good for all future write=ups to describe the donuts in detail, i.e. type of rims, tyre brand and tyre size too. This is especially important for all so-called ‘tuned’ cars.

Agree with 4G63T DSM, i would opt for a pug408 instead, 5 years warranty with higher specs and I bet the comfort level is many times better than this, let alone the power. So be it if there are stigmas of easy breakdown, problematic, i believe the Japanese makes isn’t so forgiving with these new models at present.

They really shouldnt call it tuned by impul. It looks more like dressed up by impul.

There are lots of Golf TSI running with GTI body kits, what’s wrong with that? At least the Impul has exhaust and suspension upgrades.

Bodykits are probably half hearted doings, what they should have done is also some tuning to the engine to make it more livelier to jive with the kits. A golf TSI with GTi body kits will never be a GTi
