F30 BMW 3-Series Test Drive Weekend at Auto Bavaria Sungai Besi: try the SKD 320d and 328i [AD]

Looking for a new car and have yet to try the new SKD locally assembled F30 3-Series? Try them out this weekend at Auto Bavaria Sungai Besi. They are having a weekend test drive event at their showroom, and we hear there’ll be good F&B provided – we’re smelling some good Tandoori!

The new SKD 3-Series is available in four variants – the 320d Modern, 320d Sport, 328i Luxury and 328i Sport. The Modern and Sport 320d have the same price tag at RM248,800 (on the road, without insurance, with BMW Service Inclusive + Repair), which is about RM20k cheaper than the CBU model launched earlier. Check out the Modern line’s interior – it’s very Volvo-ish, with light colours used throughout to give the cabin an airy feel.

For those who hunger for more power, the 328i Luxury and Sport are both priced at RM289,800, also a RM20k drop from the CBU price tag of RM309,800.

Equipment-wise, kit differentiation between the two engine sizes has the 328i variants coming with an 8.8-inch display unit, in conjunction with the Navigation system Professional that comes with the car, a nine-speaker audio system and BMW ConnectedDrive Apps. Meanwhile, the diesel gets a 6.5-inch screen, no Navigation, a six-speaker audio system and the omission of Apps.

There also F30 accessories up for sale, ranging from something as simple as a supplementary storage back for the rear seats that integrate 2 additional cupholders, up to something more substantial like BMW M Performance 4-piston brakes or 20 inch BMW M Performance style 405M double spoke wheels with runflat tyres.
