Range Rover Evoque to get Jaguar’s new 340 PS V6?

Now that you’ve read that Jaguar has new engines in its arsenal, news have come from Dutch site autoblog.nl that the 3.0 litre V6 supercharged engine might be shoehorned into the Evoque. The engine is capable of producing 340 PS at 6,500 rpm and 450 Nm of torque between 3,500 and 5,000 rpm. Currently, the Evoque has only one petrol engine choice, which is the 2.0 litre that generates 240 PS. So having the new powerplant will give the Evoque very serious firepower.

Paul drove the Evoque in Sydney, click here to read his thoughts if you have not done so.

  • This car is awesome!, so far the best looking sports SUV. Not sure about its reliability though.

  • A car to dream for, but maintenance of Land Rover car is very high. No, don’t tell me “if you can afford to buy the car…forget about maintenance…”. Many here can afford to buy luxury car using monthly installment, and RM1k-2k every service is painful on the pocket.

Makes sense, the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport already has the Supercharged model. What’s next, an Autobiography variant?
