Volkswagen Touareg Edition X: celebrating turning 10

Volkswagen Touareg Edition X: celebrating turning 10

How time does fly. It’s 10 years since the Volkswagen Touareg made its debut, the Typ 7L making its first appearance at the 2002 Paris Motor Show. Now, to celebrate the decade mark, VW has come up with a new special model called the Touareg Edition X.

The Edition X, available in a Moonlight Blue Pearl Effect exterior shade, features 19-inch ‘Moab’ alloy wheels, a large panoramic slide/tilt sunroof, silver anodised roof rails, bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and darkened rear light clusters in LED as part of the kit list.

Other extras are made up of a ‘Chrome & Style’ designer pack, tinted side and rear windows as well as ‘Touareg X’ logos on the wings.

Inside, the edition features Nappa leather trim in amber brown incorporating a new style of braid-embossed finish. There are also decorative inlays in real ebony for the doors and instrument panels, as well as colour-coordinated decorative stitching on the leather steering wheel, gear lever gaiter and fabric floor mats. The list is rounded off with illuminated front door sills, again with ‘Touareg X’ lettering.

I would buy a Toyota or Honda. Can change car every 2-3 years with minimal loss in value

      • If you want minimal loss in value, buy a Modenas Kriss. You’ll lose max. RM1500 if you sell after 2-3 years… ;)
