Yes 4G Proton Inspira spotted on oto.my

Well, looks like the one-off 4G internet-enabled Proton Inspira is up for sale. The car, won by Ng Oon-Ee in the Yes/Proton online contest, has been spotted on our sister site oto.my, going for RM99,999.

The Yes 4G Proton Inspira is unmistakable, what with its Yes 4G themed exterior decal, titanium black tinting and 18-inch sports alloy wheels. Inside, the car is decked out with a Bluetooth-enabled Sony audio system as well as three iPad 2 Wifi and a Yes Huddle 4G mobile hotspot.

Ng was announced as the winner of the Facebook contest on August 15, and received his car on September 27. It hasn’t clocked the miles at all, the odometer registering 209 km done at time of posting the ad.

      wow why so expensive?
installation of 4G component is not that high…
and only upgrade to 18″ wheel which is around RM2-3K if taiwan made.. or reputable brand is RM4K++ japan or 5K++ for made in EU…
plus tire for 18″ is around RM2K for high performance spec..
      and ipads??
hurm… why is selling for RM100K

surely can get cheaper if just buy normal inspira and upgrade to 18″ and high end audio.. and install the 4G…
      hurm…

or just buy other brand of car..
besides most people nowadays have their smart phone with 3G capacity and tablet with 3G so they already have the internet…

      hurm..
whats the purpose of this model????

yes. that is true; its up to the owner to open the price.

          BUT typically in malaysia…
car given out as a “gift or prize” DOES NOT COME with warranty (by the manufacturer)..
i dont know why is this happen..

          eg..
few years ago when Petronas given out prize BMW120i..
which a neighbor of mine is the winner..
A BRAND NEW BMW120i that time is around RM230K (which comes with warranty)..
BUT FOR PETRONAS/competition prize car in malaysia DONT COME WITH WARRANTY.

hence the neighbor sold the BMW for around RM100K (havent register)..

          so in this case..
the car should be sell around RM40K or RM50K (since its new and NOT 100K even given what ever tech installed; YET THE CAR DONT HAVE WARRANTY)…

Aiks, first of all, he join the contest, want to win the Car.
Once get the car, now want to sell pulak! What’s the point! Better let others win it in the first place! Agree?

Inspira is nice to drive. But somehow I think the overall exterior build quality is not as good as Lancer.

  • Don’t know about this one but usually in such contest, there is a clause said that you must not sell the car within one year.

He won the car through his own effort .Whatever he wants to do with the prize he won is his bussiness .It’s a free country la . He can set the prize he wants to sell as well and you can decide freely whether you want to buy the car or not . And anyone can comment freely . hehe
