BMW Group Malaysia recently handed over the keys to a fleet of BMW 7-Series to be used as official cars at the CIMB Classic golf tournament. The fleet of limos will shuttle all players, officials and VIPs. BMW has been the automotive partner of the tournament for the last three years.
“BMW is no stranger to the game of golf. We have been involved with the sport for a very long time now as it is one of our three main sporting commitments worldwide which also includes Motorsports and Sailing,” said Dr Gerhard Pils, MD of BMW Group Malaysia.
“Our commitment to the sport of golf is at every level, from premium amateur events in the likes of our BMW Golf Cup International which is the largest and most prestigious amateur golf competition in the world to competitions like the CIMB Classic, the first PGA Tour-sanctioned event in Southeast Asia. These competitions truly resonate with the BMW brand,” he added.
CIMB Classic 2012 will be held at the Mines Resort & Golf Club from October 25-28. Now in its third edition, the event will feature 30 players from the PGA Tour, 10 players from the Asian Tour and eight sponsors’ exemptions. They will compete for a prize purse of US$6.1 million, with US$1.3 million going to the winner.

Will be there next week to see Tiger Woods play. BMW is very active in Golf, Merc and Audi are far behind.
An interesting event with present of the tiger.
Interesting that some of the cars are facelifted and some are not. The one on both sides of the reps are facelifted 7s and the one behind them is non-facelifted. BMW premium selection used cars that made it onto the MY website are all non-facelifted.
