The next Batmobile? No, it’s not a case of one product placement too far for Kia, but the Korean carmaker supporting a noble cause – DC Entertainment’s “We Can Be Heroes” campaign, a relief effort to battle hunger in the Horn of Africa.
This Batman-themed Optima K5 is the first of a series of eight special Kias that will be revealed over the next 10 months. Each model will represent a character from DC’s Justice League. You can see a preview of the next hero car – a very Flash-y Forte – after the jump.
A collaboration with DC and RIDES magazine, this Optima gets a matte and piano black paint scheme with yellow highlights and LED lights for the Batman look. Also thrown in are lowered suspension, a ground effects kit, Ksport performance brakes, custom-20-inch wheels and a performance exhaust system. You might have also noticed the batwing-inspired front grille.
Inside, the batcave is lined with black leather and suede with yellow stitching. And the bat emblem, of course!
“Batman is one of the most popular Super Heroes of all-time, and showcasing in a fun and creative way Kia’s top-of-the-line Optima SX Limited as a Batman-themed custom ride underscores this car’s potent combination of premium features and turbocharged performance,” said Michael Sprague, executive vice president, marketing and communications at Kia Motors America.

Use your brain mate. If it depreciates 75 percent in a year, then by year number 3, the car will cost less than RM10000?
According to Sam’s logic, RM10k can get us a D segment 3 year old modern car with 6 airbags and 2 liter engine with sunroof. If that is the case, the resale value of 10 year old iswara will drop to RM 200 only.
