KL MRT: Night closure of right lanes on a stretch of Jalan Cheras to continue till the end of the year

To facilitate MRT construction works, the night closure of the rightmost lanes on both the Kajang-bound and Kuala Lumpur-bound directions of Jalan Cheras between Leisure Mall and Phoenix Plaza will be extended for another two months from October 31 to December 31.

The closure will be from 11.00 pm to 5.30 am daily (except on Sundays and public holidays) to enable utility piloting and pre-construction works.

MRT Corp will implement a Traffic Management Plan to minimise inconvenience to motorists and pedestrians, as well as install safety barriers, hoardings and traffic cones at the site.

Earlier this month, we reported on the temporary realignment of Jalan Bukit Bintang. Read our earlier report for more details on MRT construction and proposed alternative routes.

Subang jaya resident like me also can look forward towards LRT extension project. Good news is it is projected to complete before MRT hehe.

LRT extension looks on schedule to complete and operate by end 2014, at least on KJ line part. Ampang line however looks to be a bit troubled, apparently part of the track alignment along Puchong will pass closeby a school, and the ministry of education is slow to help solve it. God, I’m more pissed with moohyiddin.

This MRT1 first phase will complete in 2016, second phase in 2017. We can soon look forward to hear MRT2 and MRT3 to be approved. Finally, more rail developments. Kyahooooo

Ps can someone teach me how to embed youtube in comment? I kept trying and end up seeing just hyperlink :( thanks
