Volvo Car Malaysia has appointed Clear Marque Sdn Bhd as its latest authorised dealer. Clear Marque, headed by Datuk Tan Hoe Pin, executive director of Wawasan TKH, will begin operations by mid-November with a dealership on Jalan Kuching.
This KL facility will initially concentrate on servicing, with a full sales centre to follow on the same site. A second dealership is expected to open in Kota Damansara by early 2014.
“Datuk Tan Hoe Pin has a distinguished reputation in the automotive industry. We have every faith that Clear Marque will be an asset to our operations in Malaysia, as Volvo Car Malaysia and Clear Marque share the common vision of offering better service to Malaysian customers,” said Goran Larsson, president of VCM.
Who is Datuk Tan Hoe Pin, one might ask. According to The Edge, he is the fourth son of Datuk Tan Kim Hor (Wawasan TKH, get it?), who is a co-founder of the Tan Chong group along with the late Tan Sri Tan Yuet Foh. The latter’s eldest son, Datuk Tan Heng Chew, controls Tan Chong today along with his family. Both sides aren’t on the same page.

What about the Audi A4 you bought recently. That one also no RV what. For you info people who buy Volvo/Merc/Audi/BMW don’t give a heck for RV. They buy these cars because of technology, adequate safety features and good driving dynamics.
If resale value is yr concern, better you use stick with your Camry, which doesn’t even have VSC and adequate safety feauteres compared to Conti Cars.

in volvo’s local car forum/s, there are many owners looking for better alternative places to send their cars for repairs and maintenance. hope this arrangement and set up would turn out to be a better alternative.
