The family of the little Fiat 500 is growing. After this year’s introduction of the larger, five-door 500L model, the Italian brand is set to give its baby car electric power. The 500e, as it’s called, “brings Italian flavour to the electric vehicle market” says Fiat.
We don’t have the details yet, but the zero-emission 500e premiered on the “green carpet” of the recent 2012 American Music Awards. It will be shown to the general public for the first time at the 2012 LA Auto Show later this month, so perhaps we’ll know more about the 500e then.
Fiat says that the 500e will be available in the state of California next year.

In Europe, the roads are mostly small and narrow, like the British back roads and Mediterranean city street. Small cars are great for maneuvering in these roads. Light weight and revvy engine makes small cars manuever better than big sedan in these small roads where there are much more twisty and sharper corner than American roads. Cars like the ford cortina, fiat 500 and the original mini. The interior are cleverly design so that even 6’5″ J.Clarkson feels comfortable. Small transverse engine place above the transmission and flat fuel tank freets out space for the cabin.
Writing someting based on common sense of Europe road makes no sense of the Fiat popularity. Talk about constructive points will be more beneficial. Otherwise don’t comment bro!
Well shrimp ask why are small car ,not only fiat, so popular in Europe where Caucasian are so big and in theory better off with a bigger car, I just gave on what I know.
Well go on and try to give your constructive points, I like to hear and add to my knowledge.
Ps: I forgot to add to my comment that small car are more fuel efficient and easier to maintain than bigger cars(captain-obvious)
most importantly many of them not good at parking
