Over in the UK, MG has introduced a special edition of its MG6 fastback to celebrate its successful return to the BTCC saloon car racing series.
The road-going MG6 BTCC Edition is powered by a 1.8 litre turbo engine delivering 160 PS, good enough to give it a 0 to 100 km/h time of 8.4 seconds and an electronically-limited 193 km/h top speed.
To remind its owner of those BTCC leanings, the car sports a BTCC badge on the front grille, and there are distinctive MG KX Momentum Racing team colours decals slapped on the bonnet extension, front doors and wings. Elsewhere, BTCC Edition graphics are highlighted on the sills and on the passenger side fascia inside the car.
Standard to this one are a matte black roof and 18-inch alloys wrapped with Dunlop Sport 225/45 performance tyres. Also on, black gloss sills, door mirror covers, a lower front air dam and a rear spoiler, plus a choice of Arctic White or Union Blue exterior shades.

nice 1.8 turbo… more pic of these BTCC beau..
Looks bolder than my wanted Kia Forte K3.
Altough it’s looks similar to K3, but I really love this low profile designing. K3 on the other hand looks too bulky.
lol limited to 193
I wonder is it me or does any car with black wheels and bumper insert and skirts looks better.
It looks more like Proton Gen2, Persona.
ni shi yi ge chou sha bi!
The odd thing is, other than the add ons go fast look bits, the performance is a little lackluster. 8.4 to 100 and limited (???) to only 193?
Take off the MG badge and it looks like every other Renault.
I own one of the BTCC Special Editions (2014 car) private UK registration, MG08TCC. Plenty of Modifications added (Peco stainless exhaust system, induction kit, strut brace, 20mm wheel spacers) the car always puts a smile on you face when driving it and still turns heads. There are only 4 of this model left on the road here in the UK. Search MG6 BTCC EDITION on Pinterest.
