KL MRT: One-month night closure on SPRINT

mrt-stesen

Seems there’s quite a lot of work going on along the SPRINT highway, where the MRT is concerned. The Damansara-bound rightmost lane in front of Pusat Bandar Damansara will be closed from now until January 20, 2013, from 12 am to 5 am daily.

The 600 metre closure allows utilities detection and piloting works to proceed, and has been perused by SPRINT Highway Concessionaire and Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia to ensure minimal disruption to traffic.

Map of Lane Closure

Other current closures on the SPRINT include stretches in front of Bangsar Puteri Condo (PJ-bound) and Victoria Station restaurant (KL-bound), as well as from Bukit Kiara to Jalan Maarof junctions (KL-bound), at different times of the day and for varying durations.

Current MRT work locations in KL include Jalan Jejaka (until December 30) and Jalan Shelly (Saturday night only) in MaluriJalan Cheras (until the end of the year), Jalan Bukit Bintang (until February 2014) and access to Jalan Bulan from Jalan Bukit Bintang (closed until December 2016).

While most dream of the future, Jonathan Tan dreams of the past, although he's never been there. Fantasises much too often about cruising down Treacher Road (Jalan Sultan Ismail) in a Triumph Stag that actually works, and hopes this stint here will snap him back to present reality.

Victoria Station is losing money because of all these closures. Is MRT Corp going to compensate them? Also, my customers Toyota rosak because of potholes
