More Tokyo Auto Salon-related news, this time from Subaru. The automaker will be bringing three concepts to next month’s show, all kitted out to impress. No photos of them, unfortunately, so we’ll have to make do with the pix of a bog-standard Forester here.
Ah yes, the fourth-gen Forester will be one of the trio, and at the event will be known as the Forester Sport Concept. STI kit gets slapped on, all in prototype form, and the bag consists of a special front grille, front under spoiler, side skirts and rear diffuser, as well as a flexible tower bar and sport muffler. The SUV also gets red-coloured leather seats, Bilstein suspension, a Brembo brake system and BBS-designed 20-inch alloys.
The BRZ isn’t left out, and the Premium Sport Package Concept will feature a STI bodykit and sport muffler, 19-inch BBS-designed alloys and a tan leather interior. Other items include a carbon roof and black door mirror housings, fender garnish and antenna, as well as what the company tags “high-brightness metal-like ornament.” A fancy term for shiny bits, mayhaps?
Making it three is the XV Sport Concept, which will be dressed up with a new front bumper, side skirts, and fender arch protector. The equipment list also includes a Bilstein suspension, LED driving lights, a Brembo brake system, Recaro front seats and 17-inch Enkei alloys. More on the triple play when TAS comes.
