So, due to this reduction, how much money is the Gomen going to compensate KESAS? Or how many more years extension to the contract? There is no free lunch.

He said the toll charges on the Kesas Highway were to have been raised to RM3 (for Class One vehicles) but Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak decided against it because it would place a financial burden on the people.

“The waiving of the proposed increase (to RM3) resulted in the government having to fork out RM86 million to the highway concessionaire, at 80 sen per vehicle, in 2012,” he said. (Minister Datuk Shaziman Abu Mansor)

The KESAS toll rate @ 2.20 x 2 must be the highest in the country because it covers such a short distance.

Anyway, if toll is increased, highway users pay. If it is reduced or not allowed to be increased then everyone pays because the Gomen is going to use taxpayers’ money to compensate the highway concessionaire. Either way we pay.

It is meaningless if the Toll Concession is extended by 10-years. Just like Grand Saga, kononnya, abolish but in effect, the toll concession has been extended.

Not only will my son who just started school pay, my future grandchildren who is even yet to be conceive may end up having to pay.

Don’t rejoice until u see the full and complete picture.

This this the sweetener for Election. They are using the rakyat money to compensate them.

There is no clause under all the toll Agreements to reduce toll except G pay the compensation?

They just spend the rakyat money and keep the debt up to RM 520 billion.

This mean that every one (28 million population) in malaysia own the world bank of RM 20,000.00 per person. If you have a family of 5 then the your debt is RM 100,000.00.

Just have to wait for the country to bankrupt with sucking cronies. (toll, Gula, beras, car AP, IPP…etc)

  • Federal Highway tolls are already beyond their concession period. Yet, toll is collected. RM1.10 at Batu 3, RM1 at Sg Rasau.

Now you reduce 20sen for Kesas, that won’t give any effect and will annoy the people further.

20 sen tak cukup bro…tak bg impak pun.

kat luar sana highway dibina kemudian ada tol tapi dlm tempoh janjian yg munasabah.5-10 tahun. kemudian akan diserahkan pada kerajaan. masalah sekarang nih berapa tahun janjian dgn syarikat highway nih? kenapa jadi rahsia? yg lebih sadis boleh berubah2 harga (naik), patut makin turun.

jadi bila sekarang nih turun tapi org nampak sebab nak elektion bukan sebab prihatin. turun pun sikit sgt. tak kasi impak pun pada kewangan pengguna lebuhraya.
