For those who prefer a sleek coupe-like roofline to the traditional sedan-like looks of the E 63 AMG, you won’t have to wait to enjoy the same technical updates and S-Model, as Mercedes-Benz has given the CLS 63 AMG a technical update to bring it up on par with changes to the AMG E-Class.
Like the E 63 AMG, the CLS 63 AMG is now available in four models – CLS 63 AMG, CLS 63 AMG 4MATIC and CLS 63 AMG 4MATIC S-Model. All three different variants can be had as either a four-door coupe or a four-door Shooting Brake model. The regular AMG does 557 horsepower and 720Nm while the S-Model gets this uprated to 585 horsepower and 800Nm and gains a rear diff lock.

Crap, I’am taking this then, far more sexy and svelte than the the E class Facelift AMG (I still don’t like that car look, no offense). 4 wheel drive is good for taming that Krakatoa size torque.

Yeah.I’m just wondering why aren’t Mercedes offer the E-Class Facelift AMG in coupe body??The coupe is hot even before the facelift!! Imagine it in AMG S-Model form!
If you notice, there wasn’t a E class coupe AMG in the pre facelift model. Mercedes Benz said there would be no AMG variant of the E class coupe because it will come close to the CLS AMG in price and spec being a premium version of the E. The car would also threaten the position of the C63 AMG which is design to be the M3 fighter. Mercedes would leave the M6 fighter to the CLS or SL AMG. But who knows maybe they’ll change the mind in the future.
