after all this is a design concept, you’ve got to extend the limits…then settle into something more manufacturable, can sell and yet have a character that defines what the hyundai dna stands for.

but my point is that hyundai and proton started from the same starting block at nearly the same time…and see how far ahead hyundai has gone. proton still struggles with build quality, very basic issues that should have been sorted out years ago..

no, i don’t mean to bash proton, but just merely to state an observation that can be clearly seen by the most car-agnostic public.

Anyways as a step forward , yes the interior it’s quite amazing. But the exterior is only a hyundai fan or a anti-Japanese brand faction can love. Beware Hyundai, the Honda urban concept , Furia and the Lexus IS shows that the Japanese are serious of an image change.

As for Kia, well they are way better than hyundai in my opinion, so no need to worry…….for now.

When the new Tucson came out, i really thought Hyundai was stepping in the right way .Than this came……

I really don’t know why hyundai went for this design direction. Yes that side profile still looks good, with all those swerly lines of the fluidic design now gone, but why did they put bug-like head/tail lights and that really ridiculous vertical cliff face grill. But judging by the reaction of the Americans(which I still have no idea why they love the hideous Sonata Hybrid design), they love it…..somehow.

I will refrain from saying copy, but there is a hint of Audi in the grill, BMW on the side and Aston Martin in the badge. It’s a controversial design, like the Lexus IS, but I am siding the dislike side on this, Kia is far better. On the positive note, the interior is outstandingly brilliant…… One of the best I’ve seen.
