Aston Martin Vanquish Centenary Edition – 100 units

Vanquish Centenary Edition-01

Aston Martin turned 100 years old three days ago (January 15) and is celebrating the milestone with the unveiling of a bespoke new Aston Martin Vanquish Centenary Edition. Centenary Edition specification will also be available worldwide on just 100 examples of each of Aston’s model lines: V8 Vantage, DB9, Rapide and Vanquish.

The exterior features a unique graduated paint finish, solid sterling silver Aston Martin wing badges with tailored ‘trans flux’ enamel inlay and a special AM hallmark.

Inside, a Centenary Edition Aston is identified by its exclusive Deep Soft black leather – previously featuring only in the One-77 hypercar – with contrasting silver stitching, a special silver thread embroidery of the Aston Martin wings in the head restraints and solid sterling silver sill plaques individually numbered with an Aston Martin hallmark.

Each CE car will also be supplied with a unique presentation box containing a number of exclusive gifts. These include two glass keys, two bespoke key pouches made from leather matching the car’s interior trim, solid silver cufflinks featuring the Aston Martin script, solid silver Rollerball pen and Bang & Olufsen headphones.

The gift box will also include a silver polishing cloth to help owners ensure the silver centenary wings badges and sill plaques on their car keep their lustre.

i see…sales must be at a downturn at aston. not surprising since their cars look the same since 2000.

  • Aston Martin makes very low quality cars. When Jeremy Clarkson was testing one particular Aston Martin, the car overheated many times and broke down. Even Vicki Butler tested Aston Martin also broke down so many times during the review.

    • Than again who buys an Aston for its reliability. But I don’t recall Clarkson testing any recent Aston Martin that broke down. I don’t watch Vicki .

low quality? You make me laugh along with your name. Have you seen an Aston? Sat in one? Did you see the amount of detail that goes into making the glass contoured console, the crystal(I’am sure is glass) buttons and the Swiss watch inspired meter binnacle.

If anyone is going to buy a reliable Aston they might as well buy a Cygnet cause its a Toyota underneath. But Aston has always been about quality, branding and detail. Especially Aston since 05 onward. And the noise, oh that lovely noise that V12 make, British gentlemen noise.

ya rite, frequent overheated on the highway so owner can slowly enjoy the glass contoured console, crystal buttons ans swiss meter binnacle and that boiling v12 gentlemen bubbling sound in a wonderful sunday morning…

        • Yup, that’s what I’am thinking. I have’t really heard Aston Martin overheating, not recent Aston.

Let’s face it you are not going to drive the Aston everyday, is more for the occasional event. Like classic Italian cars eg: Lancia Gemma and Alfa Romeo GTV6, you buy it because you will enjoy the driving and sound of the engine, and enjoy the looks of it when it is in your garage and on the side of the road (which WILL happen). a car for car lovers, not for the common Toyota/Hyundai joes.

  • Someone here is hell-bent on stealing my identity. Even after changing my name.

Anyways, its amazing that the basic line of VH architecture car dose’t seem to age, its almost as Aston has created a car that is immortal. The original 2003 DB9 still looks wonderful on the road today. This is a truly timeless design that improves through age.

However, as much as I like it, the competition has moved in. The Ferrari F12 and Merc SLS are not that far off in price, sometimes cheaper, but significantly better and faster in performance than a DB9 or even the new Vanquish. Although the Aston is really jaw dropping beautiful, but the F12 and SLS is not what we call ugly or mundane with the F12 having Italian flair and the SLS with German formality.

And not to be Sam Loo, but his exegerated bragging of RV can be considered for an Aston. I really hope Aston will launched and all new car soon, Not an “All New” car. No matter how good it is, the VH architecture has its limit. Still a great looking machine……

  • In the company 100 year History, Aston sold 65,000 cars, 50,000 of those are sold from the year 2000 onward according to Dr Bez, head of Aston Martin, during an interview with Top Gear.
