The RNS510 plus Dynaudio is worth it with crystal clear DTS sound. Just hacked the unit to enable video in motion, now can watch DVD while driving (for my kids of course). The KESSY keyless system is excellent, can keep the car key in my pocket all the time. Lane assist is annoying but useful during long highway drives. DCC chasis control would allow me to choose sporty handling (suspension & steering feedback) if i’m driving alone & feeling naughty… Or extra comfy when travelling with family. Auto park assist can be scary sometime, but it works all the time. And I can go on forever talking about this wonderful MPV…

Overall it’s a technology marvel, solid build & powerful machine that can carry 7 people comfortably, including those big luggages for balik kampung. For me, a definite 5 star.

Drive sanely, think of the pedestrian, think of those cyclist and motorcyclist, be responsible. Its just a vehicle, could not replace life. So use your money as you wish. Go buy a vehicle that u can afford to repay. And lastly stop writing something that u have zero knowledge on or based on hearsay.

So actually the Camry owner is crying and not the VW owner. This is just example,i know some ppl will flame me for comparing a c-segment hatch and a d-segment sedan but its just an example. In fact toyota got advantage due to lower starting price as cars 200k and above tend to “freefall” in RV.

I think its one of its best features, allowing easy access to the third row even though it is a 2-3-2 configuration (definitely better than its competitors)

You have to be behind the wheel to actually feel it, the steering feels detach from the road [very light] at 100kph or above or so it happens in our Alza, 130 kph is possible with that engine, just a little less confident doing it. I still cannot forgive the fact the wheels locked up (it was hard braking down a hill) add to thet 6 months after we got the car, the rear brakes sounded like the brakes you get from old semis. I have to admit the rear legroom is great, larger than a BMW 7 series LWB when you push the seats all the way back or so an article says. But while the large rear legroom is good, the seats at the 2nd and 3rd row provides zero grip to your body.

My saga, one of the best maintain or so a friend said, dose’t really have much wind noise or road noise but the 4G15 really have to work at triple digit kph, 3250 rpm/5th gear at 110kph. Any faster and the engine screams for mercy. And for that engine is the loudest you’ll hear in a car. But it’s a 20 yr old car, but to my ears, the Alza has worse wind and road noise, when it rains, the roof sounds like its is made of tarpaulin. Lower speed in my Saga [100 kph and below], its low COG and unassisted steering means you are much confident on the road as the feeling is more direct and raw. much more confident car than the Alza, but than again thats a MPV.

I know someone with a Kangoo, gotta ask him how it’s like one day.

Vellfire, Alphard (seriously, what’s wrong with the naming department of Toyota? Vellfire? Hellfire? I don’t want to burn in hell. And Alphard… Al fart. It’s the Al fart.) and Estima are overrated and overpriced. It’s not that they are bad cars, but for some reason people are willing to pay too much for them (also for a lack of competition). It’s time that Renault reintroduces the Espace/Grand Espace and Ford introduces the Galaxy.
