Great Wall Motor, maker of SUVs and heavy-duty vehicles, has revealed that the models Haval H2, Haval H8, Great Wall C50 2013 and Wingle 6 are set to launch this year, with the first of these vehicles to be unveiled at Auto Shanghai in April, reports Just-Auto.

The privately-owned manufacturer says it will launch a total of 13 new vehicles this year, some of which are expected to be updates of existing models. A global sales target of 700,000 vehicles has been announced for this year. Last year, Great Wall saw its global sales rise by 28% year-on-year to 620,000 vehicles. 96,500 of these were sold outside China, representing a 16% year-on-year rise.

Great Wall was launched in Malaysia by franchise holder Green Oranges back in 2011 with the Haval H5 SUV (pictured) and Wingle 5 pick-up truck. The two vehicles are assembled in Gurun, Kedah. Read our brief driving impressions here.

WOuld you dare to buy a car from a distributor called Green Oranges? Come on, can’t they find a more serious name? Already China products have a bad reputation, now, with names like Green Oranges, how is the brand really going to take off?

maybe Green Oranges means “low hanging fruit” or “greenfield” or “blue ocean”?

anyway i think Naza group does their job well servicing customers, whatever name they might pick

i own a wingle 5 since august 2012, used as company car to transport light building materials.

low fuel consumption and so far so good.
