Honda has announced that it will be giving three cars its first public appearance at the upcoming Geneva motor show. The sketch above depicts the swoopy Civic wagon concept, which is said to strongly preview the production version that will be added to the C-segment line-up in Europe within the next year or so.
We can see twin central tailpipes, muscular rear wheelarch haunches, a tapered roofline incorporating a spoiler (which appears to create a ‘floating roof’ effect), hidden rear door handles and LED tail lamps that run across the length of the tailgate. Quite a looker, isn’t she?
The wagon will be built in Swindon, UK, and is likely to share the same range of engines with the European Civic hatchback.
The fourth-gen CR-V, this time with the new Earth Dreams 1.6 litre i-DTEC diesel engine, is also set to surface at the show. It will be available on the Continent beginning this autumn and will come with FWD and a six-speed manual gearbox. This one’s also built in Swindon, along with its new engine.
Finally, the updated NSX concept, which made an appearance at last month’s Detroit show badged as an Acura, is set to make its European debut with a Honda badge. The car points at a possible route the next-generation NSX’s interior could take.
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Now that is what I call a Honda. Definitely miles ahead in aesthetics than its sedan cousin.
the digital rendering of the car always looks promising than the real production. anyone agree with me??haha..
Ha ha, they better come out with a better engine for the current CRV. Drove it in Australia and the car is so lagging What a crappy 2.0 engine for such a heavy car. Went online forums and see that is the main complaint. The car crawls. The engine struggles to pull the car. I guess the Santa Fe, Tucson and Sportage buyers are laughing away now!!
1.6 D-TEC has 221Ib/ft of torque while weighing just 170kg(so called lightest diesel in its category) and connects to the wheels via a 6-speed manual(European strangely prefers manual)
So in Europe, that ought to be enough for Upright H owners to laugh back at all your favorite K-superstars.
k-engines like crdi is better than this
The 1.6 CRDI in Europe has a 8 hp advantage but 40 Nm and at roughly the same RPM as the 1.6 I-DTEC.
Better? well there is less Carbon coming out of the Euro Civic’s pipe compared to the Cee’d running on the the mentioned engine(94g/km vs 114g/km), the Civic also is friendlier with the wallt at the pump. But like all Honda’s the Civic’s I-DTEC is noted for it’s roughness and sharp response while the CRDI is more suited for comfort but has zero sportiness in it.
Correction = CRDI has 40 Nm less than I-DTEC but has a 8 hp advantage.
wht to laugh at?..Hyundai/kia r series diesel at known potent drive train, the 2.0 liter makes 390nm while the 2.2 liter makes 440nm.(i have a santa fe 2.2 diesel, its have 440nm torque/190hp while drinks only 14.5l/km)
Good job Honda!! As expected from my most favourite brand! :)
Though i believe that central pipe wont make it , but if the production wagon will look anything as good as the sketch, than I will forgive Honda for that truly disapointing civic sedan that we have, that floating D-pillar has to make it to production! . All I have to say it looks promising.
Too bad most likely Honda Malaysia won’t bring this (and that awesome I-DTEC engine) to Malaysia. But than again, If the Mazda 6 wagon can prove to be a success in Malaysia, surely HM will at least consider.
Civic is dying in the market globally especially in Japan. I don’t expect this model able to be launched when it is still alive. Also the second picture should be Acura, why it is here? Not get confused!
Acura =honda ( luxury brand of honda ), that is Honda nsx, only us have acura brand rest of the world still using Honda brand ~acura /honda nsx already in pre -production model and will offically launch at 2015
Honda badge nsx in rest of the world only Us use Acura badge ~~
Please beware buying Honda brand new car, especially year end stock…!!!!
Cant believe this is Honda CBU aka Japan build car!!

Honda Msia…pls bring the 1.6 idtec or the 2.2 idtec…those ivtec petrol are not suitable for a SUV….we need torque at low rev like those idtec diesel to move this SUV weight, …those ivtec petrol need to be rev at 4,000rpm to arrive at peak torque and this drinks petrol!
Are u listening honda msia?
Good looking…
can i compare it to Caldina?
or here cannot compare to other?
