BMW Group Malaysia recently collaborated with Taylor’s School of Communication for a campaign to create awareness on the importance of being eco-friendly through the BMW Speak Green initiative. The event was held at the Taylor’s Lakeside Campus in Bandar Sunway last week.
“At BMW, innovation is built around a simple yet all important idea: to create the greatest possible driving machines with the highest possible levels of efficiency. Sustainability has been the core value of BMW for over the past 30 years and through this initiative with Taylor’s, we hope to share that value with the future builders of Malaysia,” said Sashi Ambi, head of corporate communications at BMW Group Malaysia.
At the event, Mr. Sashi also delivered a talk on the history of BMW and the importance of BMW EfficientDynamics. Heng Chan Kong, aftersales non-technical trainer and coach at the BMW Group Regional Training Centre, conducted an interactive session where students were given a first-hand demo of the features and capabilities of Munich’s hybrid tech on the BMW ActiveHybrid 3 and 5.
Over 80 students participated in a creative writing photo contest, where they were tasked with expressing what being eco-friendly and living sustainably meant to them. The student with the most creative and original entry will take home BMW merchandise – results to be announced next month.
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Rich kids. :)
Effective campaign.
BMW aka Sime Darby talk rubbish. If you are so concerned about green, why give your big man a 760iL? Infact, you should give him just a 520d to save on fuel and cleaner on the environment. Come on Tun, you should be using a 520d.
This event main purpose is let those student go back tell their rich dad and ask their rich dad to buy one for them.
Whoa….see the mini skirt…..
Now these supposedly rich kids can go home and convince their parents to buy not just a Hybrid, but a BMW HYBRID!
school of rich spoilt brats
oh man how can u say dat =p
many thr r not even rich, i’m a student thr n i drive a decade old saga which i happen to love very much n not planning to change if no problems, thank you very much XD
but those cars do look pretty good, got to see them :)
“save trees. cancel exams.”
haha.
Good to create awareness on supposedly green cars. But if you think about the battery waste its not so green anymore isnt it?
On a side note, BMW creating awareness here wont help much as not many people are able to fork around around 400k for a hybrid. Majority will just end up with cheaper/affordable hybrid japanese makes
